@pbldhdeerhunting Anything that won't be affected by your clear coating. I tend to use enamels on my carbon and aluminum arrows and wood stains on my wood arrows. I have also found that the Fletch-Tite platinum fletching cement I like to use will not stick to Krylon paints.
In the drawing shouldn't the grain of the wood be perpendicular to the bow with the arrows of the grain touching the upright rest not the bottom of the shelf
@Saluritribe If you visually rotate the arrow in the upper half of the drawing 90 degrees counter clockwise like it will be when it's on the bowstring, you will have the condition you are referring to. Also see my video /watch?v=CvMGZjHG4Ds
@stroscar I’ve used Port Orford Cedar, Sitka Spruce and Douglas Fir. Any shafts I buy are hand spined & hand weighed because I only but a dozen at a time. If I bought in lots of 100 I'd do the sorting myself.
I have come to really like Douglas Fir, it is my #1 choice. I purchase Fir shafts from “Surewood Shafts”. Nice shafts, good people to work with. Spruce I order from “Hildebrand Arrow Shafts”. Cedar I’ll buy from whomever has hand spined and hand weighed shafts at reasonable cost.
@kaziklu79 - You could probaly use super glue for the nocks but I would not trust it for the points. I have never tried it so I can't say for sure. If I was to try it I would use a "Gel" type super glue. From my use it in the past on carbon arrow inserts, the Gel super glue seems to make a better bond than the thin stuff.
@CONNORWIESELER2014 - Well, you are not looking for a fine finish, just wood removal. My last two packs have been 120 grit but, next time I am going to try some 80 grit.
what kind of paint do use to dip the arrows in for the custom dip

Excellent video! Can a super glue be used instead of the special "archery" one?
