Clearly, if it had used even the tiniest fraction of it's total possible biting pressure, her leg would have been easily and visibly crushed and shattered. I am certain that this intelligent creature knew this, and was CONSCIOUSLY avoiding biting down, so as to NOT brake the other creature's bones. The whale in my opinion gave more respect to the other animal, than it was receiving itself.

It would have been more fitting had one of the trainers or park officials been involved in this stunt.
if there's one thing that youtube has taught me, it's not to be in the same room as a potentially dangerous animal, no matter how many trainers are around, because they really have no control when something like this happens.
I heard the main reason the orca acted the way it did was possibly because its' trainers always wore their suits when with the whale, and Annette didn't have a suit so the whale was interested in how her skin felt without the suit. Just what I've heard, and that was years ago, lol.

My friend is from the west coast around seattle. He says you can shoot these big black and white fish very easily with a stock ak47. According to him they are very good to eat. I am more of a sportsman and would much rather try to catch these big fish with line and lure. It must be the highest test line I assume. Also, what would make the best lure? I thought about live bait. On the beach down from my friends house there are baby seals being born. He says they work well on a large hook.

@faithfulmonkey Since posting, I have succesfully caught one of these giant black and white fish. The seal pups were no longer on the beach when I was there so I used a young pig, hooked under it's vertebrae, and dropped off from a roe boat 200 yards off shore. I used the biggest rod and reel, with steel wire line. I hooked the behemoth at 2:15 pm, and finally had her ashore at 9:45 pm that night. 7.5 HOURS LATER!! It was an epic struggle. My freezer is now full of delicious orca!

Orca's killing humans has only happened a few times and were either accidents or there were contributing factors; like near by construction that agitated the whale. Orca's are very intelligent animals, and human error is mostly to blame for accidents that have occurred.
@jasonwalden Yeah, Orca's travel and live in pods, and in a single pod there can be more than 50 Orca's. They also hunt with their pod, and 50+ Orcas against one blue whale, well you do the math. Even so, a couple Orca's could probably take out a blue whale. I watched a video where not even 10 Orca's separated a baby hump back whale from its mother, killed the calf and then went after the mom. Extremely powerful animals Orca's are.

sadly there are two cases of Killer Whales harming humans on purpose. One killed the trainer and one injured the trainer. The one who injured the trainer was mad at him for some reason and did not like this particular trainer. It bends over badly when they are kept in captivity.
The whale was probably playing around. They don't realize how "soft" and breakable us humans are. If it meant to harm her...she'd be one appetizer bite full.

I heard the main reason the orca acted the way it did was possibly because its' trainers always wore their suits when with the whale, and Annette didn't have a suit so the whale was interested in how her skin felt without the suit. Just what I've heard, and that was years ago, lol.

My friend is from the west coast around seattle. He says you can shoot these big black and white fish very easily with a stock ak47. According to him they are very good to eat. I am more of a sportsman and would much rather try to catch these big fish with line and lure. It must be the highest test line I assume. Also, what would make the best lure? I thought about live bait. On the beach down from my friends house there are baby seals being born. He says they work well on a large hook.

@faithfulmonkey Since posting, I have succesfully caught one of these giant black and white fish. The seal pups were no longer on the beach when I was there so I used a young pig, hooked under it's vertebrae, and dropped off from a roe boat 200 yards off shore. I used the biggest rod and reel, with steel wire line. I hooked the behemoth at 2:15 pm, and finally had her ashore at 9:45 pm that night. 7.5 HOURS LATER!! It was an epic struggle. My freezer is now full of delicious orca!

@mikejabro Lol.. Orca's are also called Killer Whales not because they kill humans, but because in the wild they hunt sharks, hump back whales, blue whales, etc. Hence the nickname "Killer Whales". Orca's killing humans has only happened a few times and were either accidents or there were contributing factors; like near by construction that agitated the whale. Orca's are very intelligent animals, and human error is mostly to blame for accidents that have occurred.

@jasonwalden Yeah, Orca's travel and live in pods, and in a single pod there can be more than 50 Orca's. They also hunt with their pod, and 50+ Orcas against one blue whale, well you do the math. Even so, a couple Orca's could probably take out a blue whale. I watched a video where not even 10 Orca's separated a baby hump back whale from its mother, killed the calf and then went after the mom. Extremely powerful animals Orca's are.

sadly there are two cases of Killer Whales harming humans on purpose. One killed the trainer and one injured the trainer. The one who injured the trainer was mad at him for some reason and did not like this particular trainer. These animals have different personalities.Most are decent smart creatures .You are all right- putting them in tanks is cruel. Have you ever seen their top fin? It bends over badly when they are kept in captivity.
