Helpful hints for the novice knitter, but the title is a bit misleading. Might want to change it to "Knitting Tips: How to choose a baby blanket pattern and yarn".
Very helpful for the novice, but I have to agree with others, the title is a bit misleading. "Knitting Tips: How to choose a pattern and yarn" might be more appropriate.
i would love to knit blankets but it takes alot of yarn to make one blanket :) but i would love to have a whole lot of yarn to make as much as i can :D ! ! ! ! !
wow love the colors but i've just learned to knit anyone know's how to do zig zag knit's for a bedspread blanket? im not so good with purl knit's , knit wrong side or knit yarn over and i would love to make a zig zag blanket one day..
It is very considerate of you to explain all of that; however I would not consider this a how to video as you are merely making suggestions on baby blankets.
It means to get machine washable yarn. Because it being a baby blanket it will get dirty and needs to be were you can put it in your washer without shrinking.
I see you asked this question 2 months ago with no answer so I'll give it a try for them. hehe
The hearts are just in the pattern. Do you have a ravelry account? If not you should go check it out. It's a wonderful website with TONS of free patterns and it's easy to navigate around there.
I like the heart pattern where do I learn to do that? Where do I learn to knit a baby blanket? lol

Here's how to make a BABY BLANKET for beginners.
NEEDLE: Size 8 US (5.0 mm).
YARN: "Bernat Baby Co-Ordinates" sport weight acrylic yarn of each color (Pink, Blue, White).
DIRECTIONS:
Cast on 33 stitches.
Row 1-64: Knit. (Bind off when finished with each square)
Make 12 squares of each color: Pink, Blue, and White.
Arrange each square into 6 rows with 6 squares in each row.
Weave each square to attach each row and square.

It didn't state how many stitches because that will depend on the size of your yarn....
