Fire doesn't have to melt steel. Just the impact of a 737 jumbo jet impacting a building at 300 mph is enough force to knock out STEEL support structures in a building causing the weight to shift to other parts of the structure. And don't tell me a 500,000 ton building is only going to partially collapse. That amount of weight set into action is more than enough to knock out anything in its path.
