@baraa012 Make sure you get some momentum when going upwards. Let the gear move clockwise fast enough so that when you hit the lever and jump on the gear will still be moving upwards ever so slightly.

@QuantumFluxable I'm late and I imagine you probably already got your answer, but you should be able to jump off using the action button, if I recall correctly. I'm not too sure.

Err, no offence intended, but you guys sound like you never tried old platformers (or IWBTG at least). This game is not so easy, but it's nothing compared to that. I got through all of the puzzles in no more than 2-3 tries. I remember The Barrel from Sonic 3. I didn't know it could be operated by UP&Down controls and always when through it by jumping. THAT was fucking hard momentum timing.

@ipx1234 I don't know if I would compare Limbo to IWBTG. This is a lot more puzzle based rather than hectic-everything-is-being-thr­own-at-you platformer.

@HDShadow: well, you're mostly right. IWBTG does have some puzzle-like elements with timing, though. I mean, those puzzles are not trivial, but most certainly doable.

@ipx1234 The puzzles are not too bad, but claiming you got through ALL the game's challenges in no more than 3 tries in an outright lie. The nature of unfamiliarity, timing, and randomness of game control alone would not allow it. Unless of course you're a Johnny Na'pal...and I'm not discounting that.

@OrphanSeasun Randomness of game controls? I didn't see any of that, the buttons operated pretty much I expected them. There aren't many combinations of buttons to press either. Of course, I didn't count all of the attempts on all of the puzzles, some might have taken 7-10 tries (is this even important?). But it's nowere close to an hour of struggle. The two actually hard timing puzzles just can't be compared with The Barrel as I was saying - I got them on the second try.

@rtl4x4 You can do it by moving the ladder to the right instead of the left. That gives you time as it swings left to climb the ladder and jump up to the left. Then wait for it to swing right, then left - hit the switch as it gets to the top of it's swing left. It's a lot easier than starting it to the left and trying to climb/jump in a second :)

@Clawshawt know, some say that this ending was bad, that they should show two happy, but I think these kinds of people do not like to think or be creative, just play to pass the time or say they are good at puzzles, I particularly talking died countless times in the game, I killed for a few puzzles but I was happy to know that the end would be my job!

@davitodude Got it, it only took me three tries. I recommend starting off around mid-game and getting warmed up on the harder puzzles. When I got the achievement, I died once and not one of them was on the whole last half.

I think my favorite thing about this game is when something mechanical is activated, you can't quite tell if the sound it makes it a musical swell or not. It just sounds so damned foreboding.
