  • I like the kazoo!!!

  • @zellmerfudd 1. Thanks for the compliment, I am indeed a genius; 2. Oh yes it is a solo. Or a soli rather (a few kazoos). But any instrument playing melody over harmony is definitely a solo; not all solos have to be improvised. So all you've shown me is that you don't even know the rudimentary basics and structure of music. Maybe Unplugged is a bit over your head. Perhaps some music with fewer if any guidelines would suit you. Go on and watch some nice kesha or katy perry videos. Ok? Ok.

  • This has always been one of my favorite numbers by Eric Clapton. I really appreciate the video because I always suspected they had a hell of a good time doing it. Thank you.

  • Eric Clapton on kazoo...freakin' hilarious!

  • 1 person is the girl this song is about

  • @Drweavil i could hold on..was in bed

  • You either think it's bold, hilarious, or just plain ridiculous, but how can an Eric Clapton kazoo solo NOT bring a smile to your face?

  • @baxatak A very big smile. Awesome!!

  • @baxatak it's not a solo genius....

  • @baxatak It's absolutely hilarious and a brilliant piece of live performance, always makes me grin.

  • Just love this song, pretty well all versions including of course the Jesse Fuller original.

But boy, aren't these guys having a great time up there on stage! What it's all about!

  • I like the girls laughing after the last notes fade away....

  • @louswire This video cuts off just before one of the band members says, in a british accent, "Never again," (regarding the chorus of kazoos) and Clapton sniggers loudly.

  • @bunkhabit I know what you mean... I've had this on VHS, now on DVD... watching this show is like comfort food for the soul.... Kinda like re-reading a book that you really like.

  • More like Epic Clapton.

  • Yes, Clapton is God!!!!

  • @AceRodstein You bet it dude. Some guys say that he "plays guitar like a decent guitar teacher would, but he's a good buisnessman". Fuk, listen to his version of I shot the sheriff, you'll know why he's brilliant. ; )

  • Love it!!!!

  • @vixiv614 it's a washboard. sometimes they call it a frottoir, i think, though i'm not sure if there's any difference between the two. it might be they're one and the same.

What is that thing called, he plays at 1:45 ?

  • @8000cheese No, at the other side, with the harmonica guy! What's that guitar? That's huge!

  • @RodrigoCFD the thing at 0:40 on the right? big thing?

  • @8000cheese No, it can be seen clearly at 2:09. The big guitar with with the sunburst top, played by the harmonica guy. What guitar is that?

  • @RodrigoCFD probably some type of blues hollowbody, its not that large actually

  • @RodrigoCFD i think it's a Gibson Hummingbird, though i've never seen that type of bridge on a hummingbird so either it's a customs or i'm completely wrong...

  • Great kazoo, what a wonderful song!

  • Played this song back in the Seventies and I am going to play it again. Great version by Eric Clapton, Andy Fairweather -Lowe and the lads. !

  • Jesse Fuller 1968

  • BEST VERSION EVER - perfetct rhytm, tempo, vocalcombination of instuments!

  • I have to agree. It is an old classic (I don't know how old) but Eric shows how timeless it is. When I was a kid, hearing his rock albums I would never have imagined him doing this tune, but he nails it!

  • @TheDirrk i do agree this is a bad ass version, but have you checked out HOT TUNA (Jorma Kaukonen-guitar/vocal) does a KICK ASS version of this song on the live at sweetwater cd/dvd. im an east coast kid in my mid 30's but i KNOW there has got to some more kick butt versions out there.and this IS my favorite version (so far)
