The Great Escape has changed SO muchh since I was little..Kay. So they took out all the good rides I used to like as a kid, that would be perfect for my little brother. They put in a friggeen Looney Toons & Wiggles park. D: They changed the Jungle to Looney Toons and got rid of that giant Gorilla that was ontop of the entrance. They changed the Boomerang colors, the Rainbow caught fire, and they added a buncha shit rides to the water park. And most of the rides suck. :[ It's really just bad.

To anybody that ever goes to the great escape, i reccomend you dont go on the condor, the bobsled, or tthe swings. first of all, i got stuck on the condor for 2 1/2 hours and it was FREEKIN cold! i was 30 feet up in the air and they had ti take apart the fence and bring in firetrucks to get us down. u shouldnt go on the bobsled because it breaks down ALL the time...me and my friends were waiting in line last year and it was down for like 1/2 an hour. and the chains arent too sturdy on the swings

@PurpleMonstersOwn55 i hate the condor anyway, and the swings arent my thing. but the bobsled, i agree 100%. like, i had to wait for 3 hours in line while they fixed it they said. i was like "please that ride aint even worth it"

@HPFreak4Life1708 the sasquatch is newer it was built last year. but its out in the front...its an amazing ride. i recommend u do the drop it gives u the most thrill

my dad used to work there also and when they took tornado out he got alot of the old plywood that coverd the walls. my wood shed ses tornado down the side of it lol

the problem with the rainbow ride was that the defect in the main bearings and the syncronzers were failing withought warning

Well.. here's the deal. Tornado, as unique as it was, was also falling apart, and the coaster was a nice addition to the park. Rainbows are being removed from parks all over due to the accident/collapse in Liseburg. And Jungleland... again was FALLING APART and the park needed something more out that way.

it's not that old, try riding the cyclone. It was made in 1929

The comet is the cyclone, they moved it piece by piece all the way from Ontario in 1948. and it was built in 1927, not 1929. The ride is also inspected four times a day, so it is safe.

@GlassOnion12880 no actually the comet is made from the pieces of cyclone and some new parts were added it says so when u first get on the comet and theres a picture of the cyclone and it lookes nothing like the comet

I used to go their a lot when I still lived at home cuz we always got season passes from my dad but now I am a full time mom and have a full time job so no time to go all the time. we are going to bring my daughter hear again this year for her third birthday. we went last year for her second with one of her litgtel friends and she realy liked it.

i live in albany and usually go to great escape a TON(and usually love it), but it is getting too kiddy and unreliable(+ expensive) the rides are always closed or broken or being torn down. i guarantee w/in 10 years the name of the entire park will change to something like kidtown NY
