iv kept these cards going since 1998, im also using an original sli bridge, my system has 2gb ddr400 in dual channel mode on an nforce2 mobo but im running winxp. i like klingon honour guard which also uses the unreal engine to....3dfx will live on in the hearts of pc gamers from those cool times. xD

The game runs just fine on a i7-965, 12GB Ram and GTX460!

You just have to experiment with the settings a bit, like choose a different renderer and make sure to force VSync on. Unreal 1 is a great game with a magnificent engine for its time and scales just well on modern PCs, widescreen resolutions and so on.

@liquidcrystal402 Voodo5 is legendary it was the best graphic card with high tech in it's time. unfortunately the CPU's from Intel were not powerful enough for this card to perform properly.

@xan1242 watch my video on how voodoo 2 sli works. you basically connect the monitor to one card. Then you connect that card to the other card via an internal wiring harness.

i dont know man but have you even watched my vids? i got shitloads of grid videos up. a few borderlands ones and even pictures of the build. I got allot of vids when i talk about the system.

i think you would be able to notice that sens even i commented in the comments on this video i use an newer system for most of my gaming. IT would be obvious i would think...

tja en dual exon eller quad xeon med 1GB till 2GB ram kostar en slant. Inte så mycket på voodoo korten men man vill ha lite kraft i cpun eftersom det hjälper voodoo korten enormt!

yes voodoos came out like 1997 and they still run somewhat modern games. The cards dont work good with fraps or anything like that sens the cars are in essence accelerators. So thats why i use camera to make videos that without any doubt show that the game is in deed running on that computer.

Fraps would not show the grahpics cards name or anything like that.

This isn't actually running true 3dfx hardware. i can tell because some of the glide effects are missing. The blue energy gun has a lot more partical effects on true voodoo2 rigs

1. i deactivate all 3d enhacements on the geforce before running anything like this

2. i select the the voodoo card in the list as rendering device. Top res of v2sli is 1024x768 wich adds up right.

3. unreal have effects like those you are talking about BUT only on voodoo 3 or higher. Voodoo two does not allow that.

4. Some effects may be missing due to that i run Analyze 3d software to emulate some stuff like T&L lighting and stuff like that.

5, i use costum drivers!

oh yeah... still havent forgotten voodoos... i am somewhat nostalgic :) love older games and older stuff.

also have an heart for new stuff but older stuff i really love. like voodoos 3dfx also the older xeon cpus rambus and scsi.

you know that voodoo was the top of the line card in its time right? i mean wow... voodoo first sli card i think also.

yea the first for SLi and VRam sharing , the new 3d cards dont share video ram -_-.....i got 3 GTX280's 1Gig each but the drivers use's the 1 card for memory

hmm i got one 9800gx2 when i run that in sli mode it has one gig. i would imagine when i run two i get two gigs vram...

do you use vista 64bit?

i have not done a workthrough on castle of wolfenstien yet... but i have done a couple of videos on that game.

most games i try to run on voodoo 2 sli but like with duke nukem 3d it aint possible... but i got that theme going

interesting video, you do have to appreciate the colors on people... the detail was pretty good in that game, HORRIBLE in terms of details of games... but this is before physx, somewhat good gameplay.
