Joey Jordison, Mike Portnoy, and Danny Carey don't even belong in the same comment area. Jordison belongs with shit Nu-metal drummers that blast double bass constantly, Danny Carey belongs with rudimental drummers like Jason Rullo and Thomas Lang, and Portnoy is part of the progressive area of drumming. It's not about "who's better," it's all about what you're into, and what they can do that separates them from other drummers. Too bad people can't get that or stupid discussions would be gone.

Ha, that shows how ignorant you are, Joey id nothing without his double bass, in fact hes nothing with em aswell. Danny is fine, too overrated though. This guy is amazingly skilled and surely the most creative drummer ever.

I love dream theater, but I love 'em because their MUSIC is so melodic and cool and has such crazy beats and weird interplays of instruments. Portnoy is a great drummer, but hardly as melodic as Peart or as masterful as Buddy. This solo just doesn't rock my world, sorry.
