I really need help. Vegas Pro 10 used to work perfectly for me but I had to reinstall Windows and now I'm getting so many different problems. This is my main problem: the original video: /watch?v=Y7DGn7GfvO4 , Camtastia Studio 7 render: /watch?v=ReCz5FKqazU and Vegas Pro 10 render: /watch?v=6wd5kAVSl-0 . In both renders I used the suggested settings and formats in this very tutorial.

Please, help. I hate using Camtastia Studio 7. :/

Above you're video you're able to choose Best, good and all those. But that's just the PREVIEW quality. To change the render settings go to Project Video Properties (Alt + Enter) - or found just to the left of preview quality. There you'll be able to change the render quality. Hope it helps :)

Instead of using "zoom in" to get rid of the black lines I use "match output aspect in Pan and Crop that way I feel it isn't re-rendered for size etc. When you zoom it can get softer focus which actually can be a good look too. It's just another option. Also you can pan and scan using keyframes.

I do this as well however it will stretch the aspect ratio which I use for an effect occasionally. In this case the difference is so small you wouldn't notice but sometimes I film in a wide format and make it look narrower and vice versa to achive a "look" Vegas is great for being tweakable that way.
