@jak1997100 Suzuki speedos show up to 7% faster than the actuall speed. Suzuki do this on purpose as do most manufacturers, to comply with transport rules.

@Browny440 - MotoGP bikes make about 250bhp & can 'only' do 350kph which is 217mph. They have better aerodynamics than you too due to their smaller frontal area. You would need about 500bhp to do 260mph on a sportsbike shaped motorcycle. You should get your speedo calibrated properly or just stop fibbing.

@JimmyBonezes depend on road bro.my gsxr 1000 k8 with full yoshimura motor build it got 210 rwhp it hit 186 like bat hit so hard ;) no problems :) my gsxr hit 299 in 6th at 12,400 rpm, so ur r1 hit 299 at 12900 rpm in 6th, because i have 2007 r1 before, i loves r1 fuck alot.

but 299 or 309 km/h is not a big difference :) the most important thing at riding a bike is having fun :) I love it to be a German so our "highways" are the best:)

I still have not tried to get my 07 1000 to those speeds but will eventually.. even though mt speedo read 318 i doubt it was really going that fast, although id have to say it was doing over 300 for sure.

My gsx-r 03 1000 could pull that easily and coz my computer had been redone my speedo showed the right speed everytime I went over 300kph. Was a fucken fun toy. With a Lil work you will easily bang over 300kph or whatever miles it is. Sketchiest bit was keeping the front wheel down. Would've been great to get her turbo'd.

Yep u aint wrong.. the speedo will only show up to 299kph unless you put a ECU system on it, for example Power commander, Bazzaz etc.. I know this because mine went to 299kph until I put a power commander III on it and then the tacho kept up until 318kph, she didnt have anymore in her as she was bouncing on the revlimiter in 6th gear.. ps. that was a worked 750.. she went well!

@dave1gsxr huh? i seen too many bikes with exhaust and power commanders, it never over 299 on the speedometer but that bike did faster than 299 cuz can see rpm climbing more, my gsxr 1000 with crazy 236 rear wheel hp i never over 299 kmh, but gps said 348 kmh, but on speedo said 299 kmh and gps said 273 kmh.

@Razkull no less than that cause i did 0 to 299 then just let throttle off without use brake it easy drop down to 200 kmh in about 7 seconds, but if 0-299 and back 0 with fulll brakes might 23 seconds 0-299 in 17-18 seconds, brake very strongly as hella can be less than 8 seconds 299-0 i promise
