It's not always about the complexity of the music, but also the sweetness and this arrangement has a sweetness to it. The players played with a good touch (noone 'beating' their instruments), which adds to the overall tone of the band.
Congratulations to the players and the arranger...you've got something good going, keep it professional and continue to press towards excellence.
@GospelPanMan Good point about not "beating" the pan. It creates a mood of intimacy, and brings out the sweetness as others have said... Which causes me to reflect that, in its origins, steelpan music was played for the street, and then for the big Panorama stage, neither of which allows for intimacy, although there is a special sweetness that can still be there -- eg. Rebecca, Dis Feelin Nice, Band from Space -- depending on melody & arrangement, even when they're "beating" the pans.
hello everyone , it's not andy who did this music , as it is specified at the beginning the musical director and aranger of this tune is mathieu borgne
I'll have to agree with you, the sweetness comes out of the simplicity of the arrangement I get this groovy feeling as I'm chilling with my drink in hand.
isn't this song..."trini to the bone" not "trini to the bones" lol?
It seem that English is not your first language, so I will let that slide...

It sounds incredibly sweet. And the video is great. Drenched in oil. What a find.

I assume Mathieu Borgne undersands why I have to come back often for a hit of this arrangement. It's like a Tabanca.

Mathieu Borgne finds notes and phrasing that shows an expanse of emotions that's the pan lover's secret.

A simple arrangement that brings out perhaps one of David Rudder's sweetest melodies.
