You cannot judge another time by the present. Everyone thinks when they are young that they are the epitome of taste and modernity. Well, folks, I'm a 60s child here to say, ya get old fast and it's over and you must still live your life and try to find as much grace as possible. Youth is unforgiving. They'll find out.
After hearing AND seeing France Gall, I can't stand watching modern day female artists. Lady Gaga pales to compare in class, real sex appeal and vocal talent. Most of todays stars have lots of electronics, plastic surgery and backup singers helping them. France Gall has the best of all the qualities I want in a female singer. Every time I watch her videos on here I feel so energized. When I watch Lady Gaga I want to poke my eyes out for watching her disgusting and perverted garbage.

funniest thing I have seen in an age.. honest.. I have hurt myself laughing.. the 70's were awful, and this just reminded me how bad they really were... whats with the violence at the end? .. and as for the dancers.. ok.. just her is barely tolerable.. then they wheel out the contents of the local mental hospital or what???? Anubody remember Benny Hill.. this would have gone nice on his show..
@Pied777 And why are you wasting your time writing to me then? I love France Gall, is it strange that I came here to listen to one of her songs? She made some awesome music in the 60's but as we can all hear this is just disco shit and not music.

Hi! - I loved your comments- I thought so much the same thing- she is a gorgeous creature who had so much charm and was sexy w/o being lurid... they never let her cut loose so to speak- she is just wonderful dancing. I Love her as well... sadly, I didn't know about her, or any of the Ye-Ye girls/Francoise Hardy/Monica Zetterlund, etc. until Youtube... Have good life.
I absolutely adore France Gall. I say that because I'm touching on a problem in her videos. I think the episode with Serge Gainsbourgh and Les Sucettes really damaged her self confidence. When she should have blossomed in emotional confidence as a performer, instead the petals closed a little and became fragile. There are moments in Ein bisschen Goethe where she is utterly charming emotionally. She needed someone to reassure her about being open and to help her radiate. Later Michel Berger came.
@electricicecubes Listen (watch) "Babacar" here on Youtube, sung by France Gall. I think the music is from Michel Berger, France's husband. Now that is catchy. A true pop legend.

You really have EARS for listen the groovy BASS LINES , the Fender Rhodes, and the charming melody singing for France Gall here?

''Disco Sucks'' was a RACIST slogan came from the Deep South WASP ..no doubt.
