I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9l v8 and i have a flomaster super 44 and thats about it, i ordered the airaid throttle body spacer and the air intake system. I just want to know what to expect. is it a pretty nice gain? can u hear the whistle from the TBS? plz comment back =p
So the real question that stands is this...Do these "bolt-on" aftermarket intakes raise the vehicle's Hp, torque and fuel efficiency throughout the rpm range in real world driving? Would appreciate a feedback on this. Thanks.
@GTnumber1 i believe it does more air going into the motor the better. plus a free flowing muffler also helps with fuel economy. im going to get a intake system but wounder if i should go for K&N or Air Raid?
@SpecOps1987 : The AIRAID is far superior quality than the K&N hands down and the AIRAID filter offers much superior filtration to that of the K&N filter. Anybody who has used both will tell you the AIRAID is much better built! AIRAID is Simply Better!
Intakes are one of the easier bolt-on mods, and most vehicles are the similar. I'd get the product, read the installation instructions while looking at your car and if you feel comfortable, go for it!
mine is installed and I have a quick question ... how do I properly clean the air filter? .... thanks!
