Agreed, this is why I'm a LIBERtarian republican.. It's not that I'm for gay marraige or prostitution, or abortion, but I think the states should decide.. If even they should... It's our own responsibilities to adhere to either our God or our laws. But things like the drug war, putting innocent people away, is the ONLY thing wrong with the republican party, hence the libertarian ideals.. Marriage though for one shouldn't even be a gov. issue, it's too bad that they make it (licensing etc.)

Cheney "exposing" Bush would be like Himmler and Goebels exposing Hitler ... one finger pointed at Hitler / Bush, and three fingers pointing back at them / him. While Hitler was much less of a puppet than Bush was, in both cases, the "true believers" pushed the agenda more vehemently than the actual leader did, thus making both situations worse. The only way Cheney would be taken seriously in a book that disavowed his behind-the-scenes puppet-mastery would be if he first gave back the graft.

His entire campaign has been about bridging caps in the American society between its different factions, be they on racial, political, or cultural lines. If you even bothered to *follow* him, this would be common, basic knowledge (see his speech on race in America). As such, the "beer summit" was only to be expected from him: an attempt to bring two opposing sides on a highly contentious issue together for *civil*, *intelligent* discussion.

It'd be sort of entertaining to learn Cheney manipulated Bush while Bush was president for his own monetary gain, and after Bush was no longer useful as president, Cheney capitalized on Bush by badmouthing him...thoroughly raping Bush's likeness and getting rich in the process.
