  • Does someone know the name of this song? It could be an original by this guy, but it sounds very familiar. Thanks.

  • reminds me of john myung

  • In a good or bad way?

  • in the "hey guys i learned how to play three pianos at the same time" kinda way. its a little amazing but very weird

  • wow....thats really cooooooool...and i love not only the playing...also your WARWICK!!!!

  • Wow! This is amazing! I love the video... and you! xD

  • very very good

  • that was freakin amazing! i never realized how great of a solo insturment a 6 stringed bass guitar was! it must be easier to tap like this on a bass guitar, rather than the usual guitar. BRILLIANT

  • its not easier, but it sounds better than a guitar!

  • Tapping on 6-string bass is difficult, but fun once you can do it well and use it efficiently. I love using my 6-er as a solo instrument.

  • well it is more comfy, becouse the strings are bigger, and the space between the strings are bigger. anyway, it's not easy ;]

  • Its easier. To tap atleast.

  • its not easier :D

  • at least i find it easier, as it's hard to be as accurate when the frets and strings are harder to hit. which would you rather shoot as a target, a soda can or a barn?

  • The beginning sounds like a medieval romance :D I love it!

  • Pretty amazing! It's like you make it sound like a Chapman Stick!

  • nice warwick bass

  • nice

  • Dude,

    Excellent, dude.

    Dude plays like a dude.

    Best Regards

    Dude

  • WOW dude....im just moving into the whole tapping bass thing,i want to learn all and i mean ALL styles of playing the bass,so can you put a video up that's slow as a turtle that i can start with?-lol...thanks dude

  • Oh, VERY nice :O!

  • wow!

    you're very talented!

  • Sounds like a theme song you'd hear from some old show in the early 90's.

  • I am considering buying a new bass...

    I play metal

What do you recommend me to buy: a warwick, a fender or a music man ?

  • It depends what kind of metal you want to play and what kind of tone you want.

  • I would say don't get a fender for metal, i would say a warwick, but as Elswalbe says, it depends on a lot of things.

  • whichever you get i recommend a 5 string i just bought one and its perfect for metal

  • I had a Warwick thumb bolt on 5 string, great sound, top of the line pickups and hardware, heavy, the neck is a hard wood and was off balance for me so I lost dexterity in my left hand while playing. Still agreat bass none the less.

  • i prefer music man, Bongo 6...

  • buy an ESP with EMG's...fender would be good for blues and jazz stuff, or old school rock.

  • not really. i use a fender jazz bass and believe it or not, its actually good for just about anything. i slap, tap, pick, finger everything. oh did i mention that i play anything from CANNIBAL CORPSE to Tool on it?

  • cool. :D

  • yeah its tone is very versatile. for that thing, its almost more or less the amp you use then what bass you have.

  • fender sucks!!! ..bad ..they arent even good enough to burn. warwick is the way to go

  • I'm kinda indifferent about fender basses. For the most part, the Fender basses that I've played are good, butsome aren't. Fender guitars, however, are pretty nice in my opinion.

  • alast! a good thing to watch ...

after seeing many many stupid bass videos, this was realy great!

  • Easy for those who know how to play It! YOu mean! lol I like tour bass!Good sound Good Playing!

  • That bass have a nice sound, and you play really good

  • Olé!

  • yup easy stuff lol

  • very nice!

  • very nice music, the first time I rolled it I scoped your technique, but the second time I closed my eyes and just listened and enjoyed.

  • OMG!!! this is SO awesome!!! great work!

  • love the thumb sound!

  • chad smith of red hot chili pepers had 3005 diffrent cymbals and snare/tumtums in one set and has a recor in play ing all in a song

  • haha bullshit

  • 3005 cymbals? Fuck off

  • Yea.. Kiss my ass.. thats not possible..

  • They're called tomtoms, not tumtums, lol

  • a drummer can have to many cymbals

  • tai hao le! :)

  • you should be investing on a 'stick'

    tapping to the extreme!!!

  • beautiful, indeed. nice bass!

  • beautiful

  • please can u send me the tabs for this!!!!

and how much does this bass cost?

    and which model is it?

  • Its a Warwick Thumb six string and costs £2000+ in english money.

    I want.

  • saying that a bass doesnt need that many strings is like saying a drummer has too many cymbals more options equals more sounds u tards that obviously still need to work on guitar a hair more before u bash real talent

  • Omfg pwnt!

6 string basses are wicked, I can't wait to get one!

  • 6-string basses are great for expanding your writing abilities as well as your playing and technique. I love playing 6-string bass, they're damn fun.

  • dude! amazing! wat ever those other guys say is bullshit, ur fucking aweosme!

  • that's beautiful

  • Very Nice, I wish I could play to that standard.

  • hahahah very funny song yhea cool

  • once the notes get that high, you get a guitar. the instrument is called a BASS

  • fucking retard. the high frets are there for a reason.

  • It's people like BobbyDuwitz that make people imagine bassists as lame backbone instruments when they're not, they only are if you let them be that.

  • you are truely a retard

  • dude ur dumb,lol

  • Fucking retard...

  • It doesn't matter what instrument he is playing, he's still musically talented. I bet you couldn't do that on ANY instrument if your life depended on it, BobbyDuwitz.

  • Whoa, that comment was more than a year ago.

    Let me tell you my opinion;

This man is very, very talented. I've never liked a bass as a solo instrument, played anywhere above, let's say, the seventh fret of the g-string. Otherwise, a bass sounds great (I play one!) When I play solo, I prefer guitar. When I play with a group, I prefer the bass.

Also, don't say that I can't criticize someone just because I can't do it. Yoko Ono can't sing, but I'm no better so does that make it not true?

  • I'd have to agree with you there Bobby. I play bass too, but the higher melodic stuff does nothing for me on a bass.

  • Thanks. But yeah, it's just preference. What this guy is doing is a completely different thing from bass playing, and maybe even guitar. To that, I have to give him kudos.

  • tbh i dnyt like playing much higher then 5th fret on the a string. tg im gettin a 5 sting to broaden my horisons. if they played this a few octaves down it wuda bin much cooler. but it was still pretty cool.. and played on a warwick too

  • ALL HAIL THE WARWICK hahaha

  • Great playing! I loved the piece.

  • Cool

  • Woaw dude it's awesome!!! How long have you been practicing bass before?

  • I like that

  • could you give me some tips on what settings to do that please?

  • Very nice. You are so talented. I appreciate your music and have come back several times to listen over and over again.
