@SunWrath1 At least give a reason why Toshiba's are better. When it comes to performance, it's all about what you put in them. These days, all brands of laptops are pretty decent. Dell's have a great build quality and last forever. So I would learn your facts before you go saying things like that.

If you guys are having troubles switching covers .. Watch the video Dell uploaded called "Pop.Click.Switch" it's easy and only 1 minute :) hope I helped for those people who have trouble .

@mattphillips1993 Having the button and an actual switch lid doesn't make it any easier to change lids. Mine doesn't just simply slide off like this guy's does. I swear he used some kind of voodoo on it.

@mattphillips1993 You have the one with 1st generation intel CPU's, its the r series with 2nd gen intel CPU's that can change lids. The CPU's I am describing are the core i3-7.

@jaaizerox Apparently if you get them shipped by the "express delivery" service, they have them already made without the interchangeable lids, hence why they are sent quickly. It says it in the terms and conitions of purchase apparently... It annoyed me too.

@mattphillips1993 i was thinking the same thingg, but actually the dell 15R has 3 versions - the N5110 (this one), the N5010, and the M5010. Unfortunately i happened to buy the N5010 and i tried very hard to remove the lid, but actually there's no button because only the N5110 has the Switch Lids feature since its quite new. Really disappointing but yeah..

dude i have the same laptop but the 14r, and on the box it says inspiron switch, and it has a button to take off the lid, but whenever i try to take it off it doesn't let me. Do you just push the button in and slide it off? That's what I do and it doesn't even move...HELP!

Contacted dell, apparently with the express delivery service they only give a preset model, that being 2nd gen inspiron 15r WITHOUT the changeable lid, just the fixed black one -_-

The site says that "We will give you what you order but if it's not available you will get the next best thing" which is stupid. When i pay $788 for a laptop I expect to get what's written on the box, not a cheap replica.

@xHaXoRsHD1 Yeah, I play MInecraft on it, don't expect full graphics though. I suppose it depends on the degree of video editing you are doing but I'm sure it should be able to handle anything high school needs to throw at it.
