thanks for the memories great to see it again, does anyone remeber the others, and if they are on here drop me a line it would be nice to see them again
(1)Candian Pacific
(2) into the year 2000
(3) flight to berlin
(4) the one with the typical english people drinking tea by the road while on holiday in france circa 1950s60s
and im sure there where many more but my memory is failing me now so but great to see thank you
I was when this was on and I still live in Portsmouth to this day, I'm watching the film on youtube in my house in Cosham. Also 1984, 2008 and the next one 2012. I was on Southsea Beach and I notice the film unit, making this film in Summer of 1969. I was 11 and still in Junior School,so my friends and I find great joy in watching this race. It was a wonderful day and a fantastic race. This makes me feel old, but the memories are there and it's great to see 1969 again, admit on film.
This is my favourite Trade Test Film. I haven't seen this since my teenage in the 1970's. I would rush in from school, put BBC2 on and watch this film. We had our first colour tv in 1967 and wewould watch these films whenever we could, the first colour on tv in uk. Sad day was 24 August 1973when these films stopped, thanks to arcives and youtube, I can enjoy my youth again.
I haven't seen this for years - I do remember enjoying these transmissions when there was nothing else on. I wonder who wrote the Music? And how did the winner spent the £17,000 prize (Perhaps as a deposit on a colour TV - they were pretty expensive in those days)
This is very cool. Great music too. I used to watch the Trade Test films when I was a kid and remember watching the day they stopped showing them (in 1973 I think) . If I remember correctly, The last one that was scheduled to be shown was pre-empted by a cricket match. There used to be a website that was called the "Test Card Circle" that had the titles and cool info about all the films.
Great find, thanks

Brilliant! Haven't seen this since I was a child - probably '70 or '71. For some reason made a big impression on me. Thanks to whoever posted this.
