@bully3288, this product is completely pain free. As for the same process in a salon, I cannot say, because I am rather cheap. To my understanding it isn't painful, seeing as you are only removing the top layers of skin. However, I would imagine the chemicals they use are several times stronger than those in this product. Maybe try this first and see how you react? Let me know how it goes!

@sostylish08, After the first use my skin felt softer and smoother. After about two weeks I noticed some light fading. What I think would have been really helpful for me would have been to take some before and after pictures to compare because once you get into it, you get used to whatever your skin looks like, ya know? @seattleyy, Yeah, the advertising really confused me. I think it means that in 14 days you're supposed to see results? Maybe? I used roughly every other day. If you have very sensitive skin, I would say used it once or twice a week seeing as it is an exfoliant. Have a great day!

As I said above, this product lightened some of my scars. All skin is different, so I won't make any promises. I would say that this product was about a 7 for this purpose.

My experience with microdermabraison products has been mixed.

I bought this Micrordermabrasion system from some online store for about $100. It doesn't seem to do much at all. Just makes my skin dry and irritated.

Would be nice to get rid of deep acne scars in a week or two :) but chemical peel or laser treatments are expensive.

I know you're going to hate to hear it, but sadly, if you're looking for a quick fix, you're going to have to go to the experts. However, the human body creates a whole new set of skin every 6 weeks, so being patient and using a product like this one or my personal favorite, Peter Thomas Roth's moisturizing serum with glycolic acid will help accelerate the process. Over loading the skin will only make it worse, but you knew that. Hang in there!

This product does help with discoloration. As far as pitted scars go, you're probably not going to notice that much of a change with this product. I had several dark spots from my acne and this peel helped to lighten them. You can purchase this peel from any online retailer that sells Olay products: Target, Walmart, Costco, Meijer.... Good luck!

This is not a product that is meant specifically for acne. What I will say is that removing the dead skin cells and excess gunk off your face will reduce the amount of clogged pores and ultimately reduce the amount of acne you will get. This product could help or hurt, because aggravating the problem on your face could potentially made it worse. Just be gentle.

@Dervlahx3, The first thing I would say is that you're very young. You get a whole new set of skin every 6 weeks, so try to be patient and see if your skin will naturally lighten itself. This did lift the discoloration a bit, but if you have indented scars, I would say talk to a/your dermatologist. Hope this is helpful!

@come2learn, I'm not sure how well this product handles them, but I can say that Peter Thomas Roth makes something called the hydrating serum that has glycolic acid in it, and it's been doing wonders for my scars and the uneven texture of my skin. Keep an eye open for the review!

I'd say they cleared up by about 40%... it didn't make them go away, but it lightened them for sure. It took about two weeks of treatment to see results, but you can feel dramatically softer skin after one use.

This product is not meant to be used as an acne cure. Scars won't "come back," but acne will.

I just bought it and I also bought their "daily thermal mini-peel" but I don't know if I should use them both at the same time or use one and then the other product separately. Oh my dilema!!

I wouldn't use them both in the same day... that's alot of exfoliation. I'm not sure I would even use the mini-peel cleanser everyday. You gotta be nice to your skin! If you like olay, they make a great sunscreen for sensitive skin.

Since I can't see what your acne is like, what type it is rather, I can't play doctor and reccommend something that I've tried and ensure that it will work, but I LOVE All of the Wexler products, just look on my page!

Ah, thanks for responding. I didn't think you would. I read that Neutrogena's Sheer Light is good for dry skin (which I have) I have stubborn acne. It comes and goes. You could barely see it (look at my page picture). I was wondering if you had acne or a few pimples and if it helped you.

I always try to respond to questions! And I've never tried that mousturizer, but you'll never know until you try!

I have acne. I've struggled with it for years. I would say this product helped with the overall texture, which in turn helped my acne, but I wouldn't say it cured it by any means. Like I said before, Wexler for sure. Their wash is the best I've ever used. I'd also reccommend (if you're willing to try) the Peter Thomas Roth hydrating gel. Best I've ever used.

I just showered and I used the microdermabrasion kit. My skin feels so soft! I put a Nivea moisturizer on....Wexler's wash and Peter Thomas Roth hydrating gel? where can I buy them? an Ulta maybe? I plan on going very soon.

Glad you like it so far! The Wexler products are sold exclusively at Bath and Body Works. I got the hydrating gel at Sephora, but I guess they'd probably have it at Ulta. If you order them online, you can use coupon codes which makes them a little cheaper.

To be honest, I looked at your page and saw that you seem to be a person who leaves lots of unhelpful comments. I appreciate the suggestion, however this solution is not practical for anyone who wears makeup. As I said in my review, I used this on my acne prone skin with no problems. I would say that when applying the product be gentle around your breakouts as the over exfoliation could potentially flare up your skin. I would also reccommend following the directions, even though I didn't. It'll be gentler on your skin. Good luck, and I hope you love this product as much as I do!

I am soo buying this. I just turned 40 and am just starting to notice fine lines ( which I do NOT consider very FINE at all ) lol...I have been using the neutrogena skin rejuvenator but it is soooo harsh on my face. If the puff dries up whikle you are using it, you can literally feel it ripping into your skin ( ouch ).

@HEKNOWSTHEPLANS, If you watch some of my other videos, I would most certainly suggest the Wexler wash. But, if your skin is very sensitive (or you think it will be after using this, I would try Purpose.  Yes, it can be used on other parts of the body, but remember, it's expensive, and the rest of the body can be exfoliated with sugar or salt.

I bought this the other day and used it just once and already I've seen improvements in my skin's texture. My makeup just goes smoothly on and doesn't flake like it usually does. I hope as I continue to use it it'll get rid of my acne scarring or at least make it less noticeable. :)
