hi sanjay this is subrahmanyam frm andhrapradesh. i think u r also telugu people.we r proud see u r videos and i would like to know (paala munjullu) recipe
I will make it in a much simpler way like just add onions and red chilli poweder, sambar powder and sugar and salt to taste and for beans a lil more oil its awasome and fresh coriander after it is cooked wow !!!
This looks great! I am so p[leased to have found your videos; my husband and I are slowly turning vegetarian, so I am VERY happy you are dong so many vegetable dishes.
I believe its a bit of both .. genetics as well as acquired taste.
I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter for whom I was worried whether she would eat spicy curries or not. About a year ago we started giving her spicy stuff and now she eats the regular meal that we have. Sometimes we make a sauce from Hebanero Pepper and she eats it just like all the adults. I can say that a part of it is from her genetics but then a part is from the food given to her in this age.
Indian food seems healthy....but everything is always so overcooked and mushy....compared to Asian food which is cooked very quickly, cruchy and full of texture.
The main idea behind many Indian dishes is that the flavours of the various ingredients blend to give a unique taste. That is why the taste of the final dish also varies from one person to the other for the same recipe (or sometimes even if you try to repeat the dish!). You can cook the vegetables a little less if you want a crunchy feel - but remember, the taste will be different!
That's what I meant. Also, how do certain groups of people handle such spicy food so easily? I wonder if they have different taste buds (genetics) or if they learn to like it from birth?
just personal preference my dear! not all indians eat spicy food and definately not daily. thats the whole fun about indian cooking one can adjust spices and chillies according to taste and still get great flavour!!
The spices used in Indian cooking have medicinal value and are very addictive. They have found the Indians are less likely to suffer from Alzhiemer and women do not suffer from symtoms of Menopause such as hot flashes due to the spicy diet of Indian food. Research also shows that every spice used in Indian cooking has some beneficial effect. Yes, once you start eating spices, you are not likely to revert to bland food!
I never particularly liked the vegetable fresh beans that you cooked, but I used your method and they taste positively delicious! Keep up the good work! Your videos are truly inspirational and your mood is infectious!
Your videos are all time favorites for me. I generally find myself more hungry and smiling by the end of video recipe. Very good job, keep it going.

Indian food is considered Asian food in many parts of the world. I guess you mean Chinese, Japanese, or Korean food.
