I think Uematsu's music needs a musicology study, 'cause in videogames (expecially Final Fantasy's series) the dramaturgic role of the soundtrack it's importat like in movies or in the lyric opera.
I wanna go to a school where i can play stuff like this. All the people in my school are all interested in the hip hop and rap crap they got these days. It makes me sick. Uematsu is the god of music of the 21st century (and the end of the 20th)

very good. I like your dynamics. Nice variation throughout. This piece has such a distinctive atmosphere, perfectly representing the odd and contrasting mysteries in Ultimecia's castle in the game. That's something that Nobuo Uematsu is very good at doing
@tommyk77 Nobuo Uematsu is amazing at composing music in general. Personally I think he pulled out all the stops when he started composing the music for FFVIII which is probably why FFVIII is my favorite. Pfft, One Winged Angel? Give me Liberi Fatali any day.
it really pisses me off when people laugh at 2:08 of this song, it is so childish and immature, i have a great respect for this song and if there isnt a good audience it can really ruin the experience for true appreciators of the final fantasy music such as yourself
i didn't hear a laugh...but i do understand what your saying though, even though not EVERYONE knows this song...its still a beautiful piece and people should acknowledge the art and devotion that this guys presenting.
