  • I love this film to favorite Brosnan film

  • Zukovsky obviously dies during that scene why would anyone think otherwise he drops his gun and just slams down after being shot several times its highly unlikely anyone came to his rescues or managed to save him in time and i do find it funny how he just ignores M after killing Elektra she is the head of MI6 after all and to just leave her stuck there with no protection seems a really stupid thing to do.

  • please release the dainel craig reviews

  • i had just watched TWINE a couple of days ago and I was really suprised by it. I had not expected it to be good. You were the only positive review of it, and I thought it was even better than TND. i don't know whereit stands in the entire seris, but it is probably second only to Goldeneye(what a shock) in Pierce Brosnans Bond films

  • I can't wait for the next My Weekly Bond review, but don't want My Weekly Bond to end

  • your review is actually better than the real film.

  • Come on get cracking. It's been more than a week

  • Please tell me that DAD is coming soon.

  • Glad to see your back and still alive.

  • Glad to you got to this review. Personally I thought TWINE was meh, but I like your enthusiasm for this movie.

  • Great review, well worth the wait!

Yeah, I also love TWINE. Probably my favourite Brosnan film. For me, the pre-credit sequence alone is better than all the Bond films post 2000... :)

  • Something seems a bit odd here--normally Calvin would have responded to a few comments at least, and it's been nearly 9 days already--I hope we're not in for another 8 month hiatus.

  • @radioclash81 haha don't worry I'm still alive! Hoping to get the rest of the series done fairly soon! I recorded the Twine, DAD and CR reviews back in january it's just taken me a while to get around to doing them it's been quite a hectic year with finishing Uni and going straight into a job and everything... But yes! The rest will be coming shortly!

  • Well, this look long enough. Anyways, I too enjoy TWINE and while it has some problems, it's good fun.

  • Like Marty Short says- Thanks for remembering.

  • Yes I am afraid I am not a fan of TWINE at all, as with the rest of the Brosnan era, but it was good to see your opinions for the film, and your awesome return.

  • Welcome back Calvin.

  • Why, Why did it took so Long.

  • @ojojo131 I was in my last year of Uni doing animation so I was basically stuck in a small room animated for 11 hours a day (including some weekends) for January-May then I had to do all the essay and dissertation stuff, spent June/July in a drunken haze then went straight into working! Sorry for taking so long with it though... Lazyness did indeed play a part in it certainly! But yes, expect My Weekly Bond to end soon :D And thanks for watching!

  • This is by no means a terrible film. It's compentently directed and for the most part well acted but i found the plot to be a tad convoluted and the pace was a little uneven at times.

  • Can't agree with you about Brosnan or this film, but good to see you back! Thanks for posting.

The film has some good ideas but the execution of them is formulaic and Bond's relationship with Electra could have done with fleshing out in the first half of the film so that the plot twist bit more deeply. Denise Richards adds nothing and it would have been a better, more focused film without her.

  • Wow, I thought I was the sole Bond fan who actually liked this film. I think Its Brosnan's "OHMSS". The last scene between Q and Bond really tears my heart out every time... Good to see ya again, Cal, it's been forever! lol

  • It has been so long but it feels like no time has passed at all since your TND review. Anyways I agree with you about TWINE, I don't think it is one of the best but rather somewhere in the middle but still very enjoyable for the reasons you described. The beginning of the movie until Q's exit by itself is one of the best bond sequences ever, for me it drags and becomes a bit formulaic later in the film (sans M subplot) but still good. Please don't take so long next time, only 3 more to go!

  • W. back.

Overall TWINE hits all the marks for me too.

Sit down. Richards wasn't actually playing it for laughs. It was serious.

You could swap the two f. leads around, but both parts required subtlety and skill.

I hate the computer sequences at the beginning. Holographic display etc.

    The Q exit is lovely.

The smutty ending is daft. Pales next to the "I believe he's attempting re-entry" sequence.

DAD is dreadful, but it's followed by The Guardian's view of what Bond should be like.

  • Thank you so much for this review, Calvin.

Even though a lot of people hate it, TWINE is my favorite Bond film. I'm not sure why, but I just love it. It has it's problems, but every Bond film does. I just take this movie for what it is: A great Bond film.

Plus, Sophie Marceau is smokin' hot in this!

  • @TheMJThriller2009 Glad to see another supporter! Must admit, I'm quite surprised at how many people seem to really like this film! I thought everyone hated it!

  • YES! IT FINALLY CAME!!! THANKS CALVIN! :D

  • @calvindyson YOU FINALLY DID IT THANK YOU
