do you think a lot of the "top" writers are streched too thin? quite few have side projects for hollywood and tv and good for them but do you think their comic work has sufferend? was jeff loeb a better writer before heroes for instance?

I think that factors in. Every writer has to balance the concerns of producing quality work versus enough to pay your bills.  Jeph Loeb was definitely a better writer before.

mark miller is always trying to shock people hes a good writer his stuff on ultimate avengers is great but he is still trying to make people shout holy shit he did it at the end of wanted he did with ultimate red skull but because he does it soooo much it dosent come as a shock. But i think the reason alot of people like mark millar is because he ceated what we all want the avengers movie to be the first two volume of the ultimates would be perfect for the big screen

I will say that the first Ultimates story arc was some of the best stuff I'd ever seen. The Millar/Hitch combo was just astounding. They haven't been able to capture that 'lightning in a bottle' since.

i think that ultimates 2 was pretty good the introduction of ultimate loki and the way he manipulated thors life was awesome to me

Is it me or is there a disease that is making good comic writers bad. Bendis, Loeb, Millar these guys used to be pretty good (well okay I've only read a few Millar's but Superman:Red Son was good). Also Johns and Morrison seemed to have this "bug" for awhile. I mean what happened in Final Crisis, i'm still a little bit fuzzy on that one.

Speaking of comic book movies ,what do you guys think of the new ironman 2 trailer and them getting a new Brody ( don cheadle)? I for one think that don's frame is to small for the role but that's just a minor annoyance .
