  • This battle is a bit boring. It's far too easy - notice how the team don't really formulate any kind of tactical plan; they don't need to, because the enemy army is fed to them in dribs and drabs. They're getting a LOT of help from Hammond during both the skirmish and the main battle, much more than any of the other teams did. On the other hand, Mike Loades is on top form in this episode (and the Hastings one, too). I wish they'd make a show that was just Loades and Goldsworthy talking history.

  • Gay...

  • @mrxxwinsoonxx

  • @andyrevell And have tournaments, winning families then would have to compete against eachother :P

  • this programme used to be fucking great i couldnt remember the name of it until today :D

  • Yay the Richard Hammond era. Remember the tactic, poweeeeeeer and Stigs command ...........................!

  • Conserve energy because you're going to be into a major battle... does she realize that its a computer game and not real life?

  • @ThisIsElliot1911 Yeah but the virtual people tire in this game and perform worse.

  • The curly haired historian Dr Aryeh Nusbacher is now a woman :)

  • I prefer the battle of Hastings!

  • Fucking idiot kids LOL

  • *Insert Chelsea FC joke here*

  • @HoRsECaRtEr Actually the show didn't use Rome Total War at all; it used an early code of it, the show starting in September to December 2003, the game released in November 2004

This episode was released in January 2005. Barbarian Invasion was released in November 2005.

  • @BloodiestMargie So it's the Alpha

  • fagotsssssss

  • @allen83418 priiiiick

  • what game is this on? i know most of the battles in time commanders were on rome total war but this is different do you know what game it is?

  • @olcopp It's not different. It's Rome Total War, with different models created just for this show.

  • I say we start a petition to get this back on the air!!!

  • "But mom! I'm fighting berserkers!" -I'm going to use that phrase. :D

  • Is this show still on the air?

  • @MrWafflesMcWafflesx7 Hayell no. Lasted from 2004-2005. The game was followed up with Medieval II Total War in 2006, then Empire Total War in 2010. Graphics have substantially improved from it, but the interest apparently isn't there.

  • @BloodiestMargie Damned shame, that is. I just discovered this show back when you were uploading these (January) and I really, really wish they continued it. (I've never played a Total War game at all!)

  • @HooshIsASoup you should there EPIC!!!!

  • @MrWafflesMcWafflesx7 no still repeats but still good memories this one is my favourite

  • @allen83418 That's too bad. I really liked this.
