After Birth Kangaroo Care: What it is and why we do it

Ok, I have double d breasts. Do I put the baby on top of my breasts, or try to make a space for the baby in between my clevage?

this time last year kate ogg was told one of her twins did not survive the birth. she gave her child kangaroo care for two hours. as he started gasping doctors told her it was just reflexes, until he started moving and opened his eyes. there should be more studies into the seemingly miraculous benefits of kangaroo care, and all expecting mothers should be taught about it.

It makes me sad but I've worked as an IBCLC at a hospital some of the nurses in the special care nursery said that skin to skin/kangaroo care doesn't work. I was mortified. I'll pass this video along to my patients! Great work!

A heartfelt thank you for post. I've seen where babies with no signs of life at birth are actually revived soon after skin to skin contact and gentle touch from parents.
