The music in CH is amazing. IMO it is a very amazing shot film. The animal scenes are graphic but coming from eastern ky it was nothing that i havent seen in real life. I have watched ppl kill turtles and snakes but not monkeys lol. Great movie.

Possibly that was even what the director wanted to achieve though I can't be sure on that. Either way this film has sparked and still does spark a whole bunch of controversy, in most cases due to the animal cruelty. People tend to confuse the animal cruelty with the staged murders though, so all of a sudden Cannibal Holocaust becomes a "Snuff Film".

Ahh, the innocence of youth. CH was pretty light entertainment overall. I do credit the ideas behind the film. First off, the special fx are waaaay dated; they might have been gross back in the 80's but nowadays you see much worse - and it looks much more realistic. Hell, you could see the real thing on the internet if you look hard enough. About the animal killings, not something I like to see but I had a hamburger for lunch and I know where it came from - dead cow.
