id never skitch with my board unless i knew the guy in the car that would pull me along!, only skitch ive done was with my bike and holding on to a chain on the back of a random truck with a friend.. now THAT was fun!

Michael J Fox didnt invent "skitching" .........its been done decades before in NYC.... and we didnt need use a skateboard ..............we use to catch the MTA buses before the molded bumpers and slid along in boots when there was snow and bus hopping when there is no snow. The MTA change to the new style bus with the molded bumper no back window (rear mounted engine) w/ louvers. We were still able to bus hop due to the louvers but skitching became a bit more difficult.

Lots of fucking retarded shit in the videos and stories. First of all, yea, wear a fucking helmet at LEAST and pads preferably. Second, don't fucking skitch where you're going to get run over by the cars wheels if you fall. Third, always skitch off to the side so that you can SEE WHATS COMING in terms of pavement quality and bumps. Fourth, don't skitch where you're going to go crazy fast. Its dangerous as hell...but fun.

Sure, skitching comes with risk, everything fun does. Main thing is wear AT LEAST a helmet, and make sure ur mate behind the wheel has his head on his shoulders. Plenty more dangerous out there then skitching on ur skateboard padded up.

Skitching cars, trucks, buses, etc...is as old as the skateboard itself! There's even a video game that came out in the 80's about it! The idea didn't come from a stupid movie, the movies got the idea from thrill seeking teenagers with skateboards! The same thing happened with the success of Jackass...MTV stole ALL of their ideas by watching what skaters were already doing! It's total BS that they can make money stealing ideas from kids but that's what sells!! =P

haha you can go that fast without a car just go down a huge ass hill. I went like 25-30 with someone driving beside me clocking my speed. I can go just that fast with or without a car. The first time I skitched i let go and hit a huge rock sprained my wrist and scraped my side all up at about 20 after i let go. it gets on my nerves seeing people getting so aggravated by this. if we want to be stupid let us. haha.
