what lyrics!! and sung by such a soulfull lady I would have been so happy to have seen her sing anywhere in this world. did she have an unhappy relationship to sing so awesome? R.I.P darling
The intro a bit long but her voice compesates for the waiting. OmG I got goose bumps or am I loosing my mind she just sung my socks off. Girl stop it, this is embarrassing, shucks I'm outta here.
No one at Motown had a more soulful voice than Saundra., or produced such high quality classics such as "Stay In My Lonely Arms" and of course this gem, both written and produced by the HDH team
Her passing 7 years ago is still a massive loss, but her gifts to us will live on forever.
You are one lucky guy to have been able to meet, let alone work with her, but I count myself lucky to be able to say that I heard the lady.
She sure sounds great on this recording. She does ont sound like she hadn't been recording for years. In fact, she sounds better than the original to me. It was before my time, so I am not married to the original version, although I like that one too. This slowed down version sounds like good southern soul. reminds me of being down south in the summertime.
2002. The date is there in the video for "There's Nothing Else To Say", where her own son actually posted a comment thanking us all for remembering his lovely Mother.
What a brilliant voice she had, I saw The Elgins years ago at Brighton's Top Rank Suite, they were word perfect and so like the recordings, I was amazed.
Thanks to Ian for bringing back these lovely people.
