  • Hey really good vid finnally a good goalie around here but some sick saves. O and I'm buyin pads off of goalie crease amazing site great prices wish I could work there.

  • after watchin a while this vid i noticed that when a pass comes from the behind of the net 2:30, your position is really off. u should be out from the net and covering the net as much as possible so stay active.

  • @stardustie ok no more comments from you. you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. when the pass comes out from behind the net, it's a lot harder than you think it is to come out that fast. i have to watch for the wrap around, and it was a quick pass out front. there's not way a 33 year old rookie goalie such as myself had any chance of coming out with the pass to be "out from the net and covering as much net as possible." so no more rookie comments from yourself please.

  • pretty good for 2 years but quick note, dont get upset if you let in a goal, it happens to everyone, if you get angry or upset at it, it may throw your edge off, just a little tip that works for me

  • also i noticed you commented how you watch videos and things to help you with your game. try the vaughn website they have a goaltending resourses section with a couple of dozen articles with tip on style, technique, training, and philosophy of goaltending by very qualified individuals. vaughnhockey com is the site.

  • @cdc9906 thanks, i now run the goalie crease network, got enough video and such there. :) You should check it out. goaliecrease net

  • pretty good for two years... try using a taller padle on your stick, it will help you with balance issues as well as stopping the overlap of your blocker and right leg pad giving better net coverrage and help you get to the higher blocker shot a little quicker. also try moving your gloves out in front of you slightly it will help you keep your equiptment more square and a better angle to the puck. keep up the good work the difference from vid one to this is great.

  • haha niice i wanted so see this cause im just starting ice hockey as a goalie

  • This may have aided in the one goal scored against you but I'm not positive, and again it may just be the camera angle. Other than that however your technique, form, glove saves... ;] All were ready and working and you did a good job! Very impressive for someone who has been playing only 2 years. Work hard and who knows, maybe you will play professionally some day!!

  • For the most part you did everything very well, however just one comment. Right at about 4:15 when they start lining up for the faceoff in front of your net, you seem to leave a large hole in the left side of your net from where you stand (right side of the net from our viewpoint). I'm not sure if this perhaps just the way the camera is set up and it's angle to the net, but from that it looked like you didn't quite have your angles covered. I noticed you did this a few times throughout the video

  • Near the 1 minute mark, instead of lightly tapping the puck into the corner with your stick, might be a good idea to freeze it or shoot it out. That way it would have prevented the chances after.

Side note, the guy didn't get hit by your friend, he almost got cut by his blade.

  • @dafinalone Yeah, I noticed that after, he got kicked in the temple by the tip of the skate cowling. As for the 1:00 minute mark, I thought my guy was closer too it. I'm learning still, I've started to freeze the puck A LOT more in the last few games. I didn't really think about it before, but it's almost always the best option if there is any threats in the area. I also have my D men yelling at me to freeze it or move it.

  • @oddmud Yeah its almost always a good idea to freeze the puck when you see the opposition coming at you, that way it allows your team to change and to regroup properly. Of course sometimes its a better idea to just kick it into the corners given your defence is close and aren't being too closely pursued by the opposition

  • Wow that's amazing how far you've come in just 2 years! I'm super nervous going out for my first time in 8 years in a couple days. Haven't played since high school hockey. All new gear and have never used pads with a knee cradle system. Should be interesting! haha. You're doing great though, from your first vid to this one I wouldn't even think you were the same goalie.

  • @Sheppy99 Thank you very much. I've got a long way to go, but shows you what passion can do. :) I've had a little training, and watch a crapload of videos.

  • FU WMG!

  • wmg is fine cuz i here REMEMBER THE NAME!!!

  • i had to edit the song so it would work.. ;)
