  • yea man, my buddy has a strobe where you turn a dial to change the frequency of the flashes, just you're not really positive what hz you're flashing at

    peace

I was actually replying to "fiftysicks's" comment

the link he gave is seriously intense it flashes just white and black but I was instantly seeing color when I used it

  • @filmfanatic99

listverse*com/2007/07/17/top-10-most-bizarre-videos/ (replace * with . since YouTube doesn't allow links for some stupid reason)

    :D

  • @filmfanatic99

Sorry you had to wait almost a year...

  • The light has to flash on your closed eyelids. You don't just watch the patterns. At least according to Burroughs and Gysin.

  • I remember a 60s tv program featured this device, i think with a woman´s face gazing into it. If it´s not posted yet it´s only a matter of time . . .

  • what's this for??

  • tripping balls

  • try this

    w w w . netliberty. net/dreamachine . html

  • this works at 10 hz

    it is intense!

  • I created a vector document 32X36 to spec. Printed that out onto an OCE printer then taped the print to heavy coated Matte bond paper. Basically, this was an experiment to see whether one really has to stick to the original design or not. So one side is white another black. I'm also running it at 45rpm. Regardless of using the original design or not I definitely got a nice contrasty dancing psychedelic effect It really is quite mind-boggling. so, experiment people!

  • Where can I get something to spin it?

  • you can use any record player but to experience it the way it's supposed to be experienced you need a 78rpm record player, which can be difficult to find.

you could also get the "brain machine" glasses which have a somewhat similar effect.

  • Hmm.. record players are like...obsolete which will make them EVEN harder to find

Nah jk.. Are they hard to make? Have you already made one yourself?

  • looks like anime pandas square dancing

  • I am really curious, can someone explaine too me what the dream machie actually is,and what we acheive from it.I am an open minded fool but i would like too know.

  • The Dream machine is used to achieve states of hypnosis. Making one is not that hard if you get one or make one get some biannual beats and do the to at the same time for the best results.

  • I think you mean binaural, not biannual. IIRC the rotation of the lights is supposed to match the frequency of brain waves or some such

  • this ones going too fast, the theory, with the below comments too, was to stimulate alpha waves, wich i think wisually can be triggered at a certain hetz, (flickers per second) the orignal template, which u can find online was designed to be put onto a gramaphone turntable, so the maths were worked out for 33rpm, and i think one was for 78rpm, but in both, holes were spaced to provide, 11hrz, or whatever the flicker should be, try googling for the template, try "dream machine template" in google

  • thanks man!

  • The purpose of a dream machine, essentially, is to give you a drug-free psychedelic trip. It has been known to give people prophetic visions, among other things. Traditionally, and ideally, one would be standing directly in front of the machine with their eyes closed. I've used a dream machine before, and while this was far from it, I do have to give this guy an A for effort. I saw some minor visuals after putting the video on full screen and putting it as close as I could to my closed eyes.

  • i don't even think viewing it on a computer screen will remotely work.

  • whats this supposed to do?

  • i-doser only works for some people.

  • naum aconselho

  • cRAP THAT FELT WIERD IT FELT LIKE MY WHOLE BODY WAS BEING STRECHED OUT WOW 5stars

  • I don't feel or see anything. The only thing I noticed was a rapid eye movement and some memories from my childhood, probably induced by the music.

  • music is awesome

  • it wont work cus it is not the same brightness on film as the dream machine works by inducing rapid eye movement when your eyes are closed.. no film could replicate te brightness or the correct hrtz of flashing..

  • check i-doser music

    download some of it

its auditive incentives to enter alpha state

  • cheers will check it out

  • i-doser doesn't seem to work for me

  • are you wearing headphones?

  • yea, some panasonic stereo phones..

  • @naurito lmfao dude i listen to idoser on my v-moda crossfade lps i just found dream machines though im excited to mix the 2 when i have a chance to relax.

  • You should use the music that Gysin created to go along with viewing the Dream-machine.

  • WSB

  • wat the fucK!?
