Super amazing tool and all kids should get the opportunity to learn this way! Please check out BrainiApps for an amazing iPad Learning Program as well. BrainiApps on web!!!
amazing! I am writing a grant to get iPads into our classrooms. Your video is great and just proves how vital it is to have smart technology in our classrooms.
@fbqueenb1 What grade are you teaching? In the grant application I would include specific apps that apply to state standards. For example, Mad Libs to reinforce grade appropriate parts of speech, Flash Racer Math to practice addition/subtraction. I have five touch ipods and an Ipad and I have it as one of four centers so it's a small group and each kid can have one. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement
This is the best idea I've seen since the invention of the crayon in 1903. What better way to reach the modern child than the use of this technology? With a little bit of active support, this positive and exciting concept could have a lasting effect on all the students exposed to it even if it is just used as a classroom tool. Keep it up!
1a.If school provides, kids would steal, easily, and if they are hardly paying the book fines for lost books what makes ya think they would for these?
b. Kids would steal these from each other.
c.If class room set, would have to be locked up, and monitored.
d.Expensive.
2.Someone drops their tablet
3.Many more
So yep, no need for that, that is why schools have computer labs.
Great for interaction, failure in everything else. Kids need to learn how to WRITE. THey need to practice using their hands, not just tapping and pointing.
@asianoutcast87 Think about it. In high school, almost everything you do is take notes for tests. iPad is perfect for it. The iPad is good for anything you can think of! you won't need a backpack anymore! you're assignments will all be on the iPad. Instead of using paper for classwork, you could simply get an Email from your teacher and download the document, complete it all on the ipad, and then send it back when you're done. The iPad could easily revolutionize the way we learn.
No, I have to totally disagree. First, the screen is not the right one to use a stylus on (for math). And if we use the keyboard, why not use a laptop? I agree with a laptop, but deff not an ipad. You're saying the argument for only a laptop, I want an argument that has something the ipad can do and a laptop cannot in school.
@asianoutcast87 I agree. I was thinking more like laptops are more for collage. but, I agree completely. At least in my highschool they don't allow laptops, mostly because of flash games on the internet and some other reasons. the iPad won't be able to do that which makes our teachers fine with us using our iPads.
@jumba6 This is being done now with my ONLINE college. We have to be careful. IF a parent can't afford the internet, her child will be without the assignment. Are we asking kids and parents to meet at the closest wi fi cafe??
I love the fact the ipad could be used in schools.. I think thats hot!!
My class uses IPads :-)
