Asch sucks. It would be better if you change his equipment, but you can't. I'm sure that I'd use Asch if he didn't die so quickly.

Something I'd LOVE to see is an Nebilim solo with Asch on Unknown difficulty. That would take AGES. XD

Actually, I did not use grade to get any HP bonuses. There is an AD skill that gives some nice bonuses though.

Thanks for posting this, i havent fought her yet but im close and I was curious about what to expect, it looks like a really exciting battle, but i love all the characters so much i have no idea who i'd take to face against her. xD

Really depends on what difficulty you plan on doing it on. If you are doing it at anything above normal, don't take more than one melee character, because the second will spend most of his time dead. It can be dealt with on normal, but above that, you will start having trouble because the healers won't be able to keep up.

Well im on my second play through and working on hard mode, i may try very hard for Nebilim to get Luke's title but its not a big deal really, id be happy with normal mode if its too much for me. I was thinking Guy, Natalia, Jade and Anise but taking in to consideration what you said i'll probly switch Anise for Tear. Thank you =)

umm.. i have a question, how you move freely like that when battling with her because i always get pawned with her >.>

Press and hold r1 when running to move freely. You have to let go of the button to attack however, since you cannot attack and use free run at the same time in Abyss.

How you got to this point without free run boggles my mind though, lots of boss battles required its use to not die.

where in the video? As far as Asch goes, I honestly only use rending thrust, light spear cannon and devil's inferno. But I'm not as familiar with Guy's skills offhand. Since he's AI controlled, it could be any of his skills, and in that playthrough, I probably had them all.

It's in Eldrant and has a pain in the butt puzzle to do to get it. I'd advise looking up a FAQ for it if you can't figure it out on your own.

Basically a wild goose chase to find six weapons. You get one automatically when you go to Meggiora Highlands for the first time. After that, speak to Tritheim to start the sidequest and have fun searching for them. You might want to check GameFAQs for info on where to find them all.

Asch is weaker than Luke though...you can't switch his equipment

The fact that I can use Asch for this battle shows I have cheats and that is not an issue. It is impossible to have Asch in this battle via map glitch due to the last part requiring Luke to activate.

Ohh so Asch has all of Luke's stats correct?

Each time Asch joins, his level is made to match Luke's, and then when Luke rejoins, his level matches Asch's. However, that is seriously annoying when using cheats to do an Asch playthrough (I lost some 30 levels that way), so I unlock Asch's equipment, give him a C. Core, and if he loses XP, I use a code to get him back where he was.

Only via cheats because the Nebilim sidequest requires the whole party to be able to do it. Last part opens at a point where you no longer can switch Asch for Luke via the map glitch.

Asch, Luke wasn't even in the battle, it just uses Luke's battle portrait when you hack Asch in.

She was much easier in this than Symphonia (but she was still super hot). Probably because she casts so many damn spells'. Of course, i did cheat and but 10x exp. from the grade shop. That REALLY helps. My strategy was have a team of spellcasterschip away her heal;th while a lone cpu mele (guy,luke,anis,asch) distracted her. Natalia helped too.

There was an evil sorcerer called Nebilim that Abyssion revived to get his power. But that's their only connection except the weapon stuff.

yes you have to set it up though from teh stratergy thing

I think the lowest I beat her was high 60s on normal, this one was in the 70s though, the lower your level, the longer it will take and the more recovery items you will end up needing.

You need both flightstones to even get to the area and land by it, once you have all the catalysts, its north of Mt. Roneal.

It's actually quite possible to do a whole playthrough with Asch as your playable character and you only need to switch him out for a few sidequests. There is only one glitchy point, look in my other videos for "The Invisible Man vs. the Liger Queen" for details on that

I would advise to find the solution on either gamefaqs or the Tales forums.

Or else use the map trick to avoid it like I did the second time, it's a serious pain to do it and it would take forever to explain and I am not good at describing things like that and making sense.

The Asch guide on Gamefaqs should have all the ones I used in this video. Basically it was to replace Luke for Asch, and unlock all of Asch's weapons

Unfortunately, I am not sure on the exact levels, am thinking Asch 70, Tear 71, Jade 70 and Guy 69 going off of the game that is saved right after getting the last catalyst, but those levels are likely low by a bit, but basically about everyone in 70s. Funny, when I did with with the same party but Luke instead of Asch, it took a half an hour and I went through a lot more items, weird like that. And the levels were about the same.

I actually have an AR Max, but the codes can be used on any device. There is even a whole guide devoted to having Asch in your party. I use the one to get Asch in my party and unlock his weapons and armor pretty much.
