The rest of the band still sounds pretty good, but agree the singer should remove himself from this role, realizing he is but a mere shadow of Rodger's talent and presents. It's basically unlistenable... though i do like the inclusion of the orchestra on this particular version. I caught their B I A tour in Landover,Md. back in 79 and have kept a close eye & ear on their work ever since...and now back to my Hodgson video's.

I had the terrible experience of being in a Supertramp concert in 1988 (Brazil) without Roger Hodgson. The dream of attending to a Supertramp show turned out to be a nightmare. I cried with sadness the whole concert.

Roger Hodgson cannot be replaced. It’s not just a matter of high-pitched voice, it’s a matter of Roger’s soul, which is part of his songs and cannot be replaced!

Roger Hodgson always gives his fans what is best: hilmself.

There are so many things I like about the group of musicians in this video, the orchestra, John Helliwell, Rick Davis, Bob Sienbenberg, Carl Verheyen and the talent of Mark Hart...It is extremely difficult to watch this video believing I was going to see Roger Hodgson the original writer/singer of this song. I have always been a fan of experiencing the music of the people who created the music initially. Without Roger, what's the point, he tours under his name, Rick you should consider it.

I'm a big fan of Mark Hart (particularly as a part of Crowded House). But I will agree that from what I've seen Roger does do a better job of this song. Despite Mark's undeniable talent, he suits music such as the newer Crowded House material eg. Crowded House's 'Time On Earth' and even the 'Woodface' album

He is the co-founder of Supertramp and the original singer, composer, and writer of this classic. Roger is currenly on tour.
