  • The guy's face at 0:21. Lol

  • amazing film

  • She said she doesn't see a message in the movie? I think there is an extreme underlying message, but it is definitely a a great movie. Love this movie and love Carey Mulligan.

  • @dorkette321 Well, she said that she wants to see people have different interpretations of the film. Like any art form, really.

  • what a voice, what a talent, a lovely ,lovely girl. She has a killer look in the scene where shes dancing with the dark haired guy which just melted me.Damn, I just love her!

  • those dimples make me melt.

  • shes so lovely-

and changed so much since pride and prejudice, i almost forgot she was in it! hah.

  • SHE IS AMAZING.

  • i like when she said crikey.

  • She looks like a 15 year old but she sounds like a grown woman lol.

  • gosh.....

Carey lookd so chic smart, and glamour with her own style.

  • I just love how she holds herself. and I love her voice, so smooth. I bet she's going to be hugely famous. x

  • ha, wow, their summary of the movie is just.... wrong.

  • she is my number one celeb crush!

  • I love her eyes! They just look so vulnerable. She looks like a pocelian doll! -x-

  • gosh i kinda have to cry every time i watch anything related to An Education. Im 18 and am dating a man in his late 30es since im 17 and it is like EXACTLX the same story. Im an Oxford candiate too, he is extremely wealthy and introduces me to nice theatres, restaurants etc. I just hope that its gonna be a happy ending in our case =)

  • fathers want their daughters to see it? LOLL Creepppyyyy.

  • an education of remedial reading for affected idiots that can't read despite being educated.

nabakov's "lolita" was not a celebration of the sexual exploitation of minors. those that actually have mastered the skill of reading(!), understand that EACH paragraph of the novel tells us that humbert humbert is completely insane and a child rapist.

    perfect note to cast molina.

he is the corrupt narrative's icon.

  • I was stationed at Lakenheath Royal Air Force base in east Anglia (It's an American base by the way) a little over 3 decades ago and I felt very sad for poor little Jenny in the movie. Until I remembered that a 16 year old in the early 60's in another country would not have been as "out there" by herself as someone (like myself) here who had been sheltered. She was better equipped to deal with his betrayal than he was. She was the grown up in their relationship.

  • whore

  • @bigbuttpretzel oh--the guy? He lied to her. He was a habitual cheater. Maybe you should check out the film and "educate" yourself.

  • I like that scene where she's dancing with dominic cooper. it's where you kind of start to realize there's more going on than we see. it's just really cool.

  • Jenny should have introduced this old bat to David. He would have done her the same way...or would have gone after her grand daughter. lol

  • @ekocentric I'm referring to the school principal when I mentioned an "old bat." I felt a lot better about this movie when I saw all of the deleted parts. Including the ending where Jenny is an Oxford student riding her bike with a young man. David comes driving up looking like a hot mess begging her to come back to him. And to tell her that he had volunteered to serve time in prison for over 190 offenses and thefts!! She turned him down flat and said: "I'm at Oxford now David." And walked off.

  • Everybody is saying "she seems so much older in real life compared to An education"... Does anyone get that in the film she played a 16 year old and in real life she's 24. In movies if someone is playing a character younger than themselves they have to act younger, plus the make-up they would have used would have contributed to the physical side of things, plus since the movie she got her hair cut, which did make her appear younger. She's a great actress who can pretend to be any age!!

  • agreeing with just about everybody on this feed, Carey does seem a lot older now than she did in the movie, lolz

  • i so much liked her in that film!!!she is so talented!!i fell in love with her haircut too!:):)

  • She seems amazing. And Emma Thompson is a goddess! Gotta see this film

  • Great interviewer

  • she's really coming up finally, but I can't join in on the "pretty" bandwagon, I think she looks really old for her age but she's uber talented!

  • aaaw! Great actress! Dominic Cooper and her have so much chemistery there! Hope there will be an education 2 with the both of them or that they'll play together in some other films;-)

  • I'm in love with her!

  • i love her so much!

  • When I saw her at the Oscars, I went: IT'S SALLY SPARROW!! :)

  • I only watched the movie because it was sally sparrow :)

It's a really great movie though!!!

  • omg i did too! and when everyone was saying how she came from nowhere i was like i heard of her before all this big oscar stuff!

  • Congrats to Carey on winning the Bafta for best actress....... she is building momentum for the Oscar.

  • SHE is so pretty

  • @chokow37 yes, but so much prettier, more beautiful as a blond. One can hardly recognize her as a brunette/redhead.

  • @1voceunica Totally disagree. The brunette look is great on her. :)

  • Wait till you see her in "The Greatest" with Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon. Brilliant!!

  • she's grown up so much since pride and prejudice

  • @ceciliaaSN I literally said she has grown up SO much, and right as I was about to read your comment.

She is such a woman now! Her voice is so much more mature.

  • yup, Sally Sparrow's the breakout star of 2009-- there's already talk of an Oscar for 2010

  • its sally sparrow :DDDDD

  • Two Thumbs up!

  • Sally Sparrow!

  • First!
