  • i was 6 when this came out.....back when my uncle was slanging hard

  • Awesome. Stomping track. Much love for Yo-Yo.

  • I was 12/13 yrs old when this came out.

This is my kind of rap. i like the Lil Kims and Foxy Browns but I prefer to hear more strong women on the mic but people decided not to "take anything serious", whatever that means.

  • Positive over negative!!

    IBWC

  • REAL!

  • that beat is so Ice Cube

  • the best female mc of all time, but roxanne shante comes a close second

  • This was heat...OOOO-WEEEE!!!

    LaBella88Mafia

  • @nissanrb25dett Better than that slut ass LADY O GAGA Gay Shit too!!! Lil Wayne his stupid ass can't even hold on to this Real hardcore hip hop

  • да детка

  • This song came out in August of 1990 and was featured on the Make Way For The Motherlode album. It sampled Public Enemy's 1990 song, Welcome To The Terrordome.

  • i can't believe this song is 20 years old. i remember hearing this song around the summer of 1990. the 90's--now we're approaching the tens.

  • una de mis raperas favoritas

  • I like this. She throws the hardest on the last verse when she launches with " I'm a lady that's stepping...no I'm STOMPING/ And I ain't gonna say I'm from Compton/Tried to slip and slide and glide and tried to ride on the bandwagon/But I'm still taggin"...and then she takes you into hyperspeed, knocking off your equillibrium and doesn't stop until 'she' gets ready. True, Cube and Del wrote some of the lyrics, but she and her style was the one driving it...clearly. They said that themselves.

  • My mom use to do my hair like yoyos hahaha

  • my real hair too

  • luv it! she & lyte r my faves! thx 4 video!

  • I don't listen to too many female emcees but Bahamadia, Isis/Lin Que, Jean Grae, Heather B, L Boogie/Lauryn Hill, Deadly Venoms Crew, Nefertiti, Medusa, Rah Diggah, Sweet Tee, Tara Chase, Nikki D, Antoinette, Lady Luck, Mia X, Cherly The Pearl, Lady Bug Mecca, Michie Mee, Monie Love, MC Trouble, Ms Jade, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte & YoYo, aren't hoes on the mic they're real emcees, respect.

  • dang everybody was jackin KORE'S videos. lol make way for the motherlode was party/lyric. black pearl, female empowerment. you better ask somebody, west coast gangsta. total control, feminine lyrics. ebony, didnt get a chance. i have everything from yo-yo. promo cds and more. i have this cassette with dope femininity. that track is good

  • gotta love the 90's

  • And that's for damn sure. The music was mostly pure and not overproduced. And it was pregnant with T A L E N T!

  • OMG lol i remember when my mom had me singin along wit this song when i was little!! it was though...:D

  • she didnt get enough credit. well she got her props when she was out but ... i need the promo cd to this with all the mixes.

  • why the booty shake in a room full of woman?

  • Man, women dance how they dance and when you got an ass like YoYo, you booty shake.

  • when you rap like a man you dont booty shake. lol.

  • Nah, Yo didn't rap like a man. She was very feminine but was more like a West Coast version of Latifah with her emphasis on female empowerment.

Oh just let her shake that ass.

  • the 12 inch i got has like 2 versions on it...

  • does any1 have dis in better quality??

  • damn I haven't seen this since... like forever! I forgot hoe different the track was on the video version. One of my favorite tracks from her debut album.

  • yo was sexy den an now

  • GOT DAMN! this is RAW

  • the west coast goat female rapper

  • well one of them..... i forgot about lady of rage

  • well then she is the GOAT west coast rapper......THE LADY OF RAGE is from Farmville, Virginia....east coast all day

  • Str8 girl power. I was like 9 years old rocking to this. It was powerful then and it's powerful now.

  • Is she even on itunes? I can't find her. If not, that's a real shame. I remember when this first came out. Can't believe this was 17-18 years ago.

  • I can't believe Yo Yo was only 18-19 years old when this came out!

  • my girl got skills!

  • you get a thumbs up, because she can rip it

  • i have the aint nobody better video but aol took that sht down. they always take the black stuff down. and you see britney and them up all day long...

  • REALLY? I was just lookin for that, I have it too. but I thought it might be up on the U tube! Hey definitely her BEST Hip Hop Video! Aint NOT BODY !

  • i'm tryna find her "aint nobody better" video

  • There is so much energy in this track :) Brings the memories back from the 1990 era ->

Cube was down with NY's PE's Bomb squad: his best days 4 sho'!

  • anybody got the IBWin With My Crewin video?

  • qC187 has posted that one.

  • Yo Yo had good flow, but don't forget that Ice Cube and Del tha Funkee Homosapien wrote most of the lyrics for Yo Yo on the album. Just listen to the lyrics and you can here the Ice Cube and Del influence.

  • this is nice hey, very rare.

can i get this in mpg please?

  • I've been looking for this video for months!!! I was 13 in 1990 when this came out. Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Salt n Pepa, the old Lil' Kim, and Foxy Brown were real female rappers back then!!!!

  • Does anyone have westside story?

  • Yeah i got that.

And the Whole album its on, on cassette tape and cd. Along with all other yo yos albums ever done on cassette and cd too.

can i get the mpg or video file of this please?

  • I have the entire "Make Way For the Motherlode" album on my iPod. I must say that this song kicks and it kicks heavy on some BOSE speakers. A joint like this, you'd have to turn up the volume on. This cut was my fav' from her back in the day.

  • Hard for you

  • Why is it so hard to find music with YO-YO?? Even on filesharing networks, the only song I can find are the ones with Ice Cube!
