Not bad, when you consider that Billy Strange couldn't read or write a note of music. An old Nashville producer once told me that whenever an arranger put "flypaper" in front of him, Billy would suggest something else, and play something so incredible that the "flypaper" was usually trashed.
Billy is still alive and has his own website. Now married to Jeanne Black. His 12 string instrumental albums recorded in the early 1960's are still some of the best playing you'll hear, alongside people like Leo Kottke and Michale Hedges.
I loved the way billy strange played the gold finger on one of the old columbia albums, He had a unique way of useing the deep bass saxaphone in the brass section, But i will agree an incredible musician ,
im not into sinatra, but billy strange is one of the g reatest guitarists ever. Listen to the album "Railroad man". it is full of folk songs from the steam era. great flatpickin guitar, banjo, harmonica, slide, and percussion
RIP BILLY

There use to be a video of recording the song in the studio. Where did it go?

I'm surprised by this, you would think that she would want people to see the video on You Tube.
