I think what was happening at the end is that the kid they were talking about has special powers, which were demonstrated in the end video, it seems that kid got pissed and used his special powers which signified violence that the kid was going to dish out at the end. Or maybe I'm just overthinking this, whatever.

What happened was that the father wanted her daughter to change her attitude and used the ppl on the T.V. as an example of why, but when the T.V. characters copy what the dad says he realize that he has also turned into "one of them". Atleast, thats my interpretation of what happened.
