  • @Admercial You had to have been there man. The show is the shiz!

  • wow i used to love watching this show with my old man before i went to school as a kid. ahh memories.. too bad they dont still air this anymore aleast where i live =,( also probably one of few shows with no episodes on youtube, all u can find is the old video games. ohh well some1 with get around 2 it some day. i remember this used to come on right before Phantom 2040 2 really good shows back then!

they need to release -The Phantom 2040 and Mutant Leauge Fottball on dvd soon!

Maybe we should right a petition to the company!

this is maybe even the original footage is gone now!

i never heard anything of this show after i was aired back in 96 no other station picked it up or anyting

  • I have the "movie" on VHS, and it's a retail copy, so no static or any other distortion.

Another kind soul already uploaded his own copy to Megavideo. Just pull up Megavideo's site, and put ?v=JUAXZWEH after the slash.

  • Thanks man the video link was pretty good quality just audio is on one side!

now to find some episodes in vhs if i have any luck i will post and let you guys know!

  • the original footage isn't gone. whoever owns the rights to stuff that came on TV always keeps master copies of old shows in storage somewhere. besides, it's nowhere near old enough for that kind of thing to happen anyway.

  • Does anyone else remember when the lizard dude took steroids?

  • Never 4got about it, just 4got tha name,. I remember this came on early in tha morning back in tha day,..

  • based on a video game from Electronic Arts.

  • I remember how gory this was!

  • OMG no way i've been searching for this show for a long time! I always thought it was called Monstars or something like that but now i remember that Monstars or whatever was the main team's name, loved this show!

  • i fucking loved this show

  • Holy fuck a Mutant League cartoon? I want to see it, even if that clip on Youtube made it look cheesy. I mean holy fuck a stick to the face and there is BLOOD! In an American cartoon! DO WANT

  • This show came out before the tv ratings. It was definitely TV14 or MA just for the violence.

  • This show would kick off my saturday mornings at like 6:30 AM right before james bond jr.

  • old good toons i miss those days

  • I used to watch this show on weekends, usually before church. It was cool and kinda disturbing at the same time.

  • Dude I did too, early Sunday mornings were the dumping ground of some cool cartoons. The main character always reminded me of the wrestler Bret Hart

  • i will paypal 50$ to the person who ups some episodes of this on the net

  • serious right?

  • I miss oddities like this. What I loved most was that this wasn't another X-Men wannabe and the stories were pretty decent.

  • dude i loved this i want someone to upload the intro theme to it

  • I loved this show as a kid. I used to wake up more than an hour earlier than I'd have to in the morning to watch it.

  • Oh man. I remember this show! I remember I would watch it every weekend.

  • the reptilian dude reminds me of jerry from Enemy Mine

  • haha ni woke up and watched this every morning but can barely remember much of it. I was like ten or 11 loved it tho and the games...would love to see more episodes of it

  • i remember the episode where razor got addicted to a steroid equivalent drug.

  • Me too! I never forgot that them music either.

  • i have been looking for this for years ...thank god i luv this show came on at 6:30 in miami after botmaster

  • oh man! I used to watch this really early in the morning, it came on after Samurai Pizza Cats. I love how incredibly violent it was!

  • great cartoon from my childhood, i have the football and hockey game

    is there more ones?

  • This Was the shit before school when i was kid i used to watch this and mighty max

  • I remember the locker room was all ooze-chamber politics.. The prime time players who got eviscerated and decapitated would take priority.. I remember the sleazy agent dude, the MC's love interest.. This was a good cartoon and I watched it waiting for a bus to school with a bowl of cereal every morning. It never really fazed me. What was the Troll antagonist's name? Anybody? Docken?

  • Slayor team captian, KT Slayer or Mutant League commisioner, Zalgor Prigg?

  • the think that i liked a lot is how they changed between teams and logos

  • cant find the intro anywhere

  • Seriously, someone has to come up with at least an episode, there are videos from the 60s here in youtube...

If there's ever a DVD realease of this I'll be the first in line to get a copy.

  • Thats a shame man i have been searching for this catoon fir about 2 or 3 years.

Nobody anywhere seems to have it.

i would be happy with vhs rips at this point.

i know someone back then had to record the episodes on vhs the question do they have a capture card and know about the computer.

i used to watch this early in the morning i believe it was this and then phantom 2040 would come on both where strange shows even for back then but i enjoyed them.

  • I remember taping a couple of episodes on VHS, and I do have a capture card...however, I assume the tapes are long gone. I didnt take them with me when I moved away from home. DAMN!!!

  • anyone know where I can get the series on DVD?

  • You'll be lucky to find someone selling VHS copies on Ebay.

  • this show was great... bones was an absolute g

  • Wow, I don't remember the animation on this show being so shoddy.

  • Grim McSlam 4 MVP

  • mutant league i remember was shown first on the old woio fox 19 but when the network switch happend all of 19 toons move to 55.

  • I loved this show, but being the geek that I am, I was disappointed that the players didn't play for their correct teams. I know -- so dumb.

What's the name of that hick at the end? Anyone growing up in northern Ohio remembers that obnoxious voice. Probably some Cintucky transplant.

  • Patti. She did a lot of voice over work for WBNX, and hosted Sailor Moon and whatnot. She's in the winter PSA I uploaded.

Yes, I'm DerKommercial2008. Didn't want Youtube wrecking my primary account.

  • Mutant League, Roughnecks: STC, & Exo Squad; good times.

  • i loved this shyt omg thx man

  • Thank you SO much for posting this! We were talking about old cartoons recently and I brought this one up, and everyone just thought I was losing my mind! XD And I couldn't remember the name to save my life! Thank you!!

  • THIS. CARTOON. WAS. AMAZING!!!

I haven't seen this show in YEARS! Thanks guys, makes me feel whole again.

  • lol this was such a good show! thx

  • this was a violent ass cartoon.

  • I third that notion! I don't care what the detractors say. This show had its good points.

I kick myself for not having 'In My Father's Name' pt. 2 on tape. Heck, the whole show. It would helped in writing a fic about Butch Justice's life post quake.

  • God this show was fukin great, i used to watch it all the time, can somone please load an episode!!!!!

  • I'd love to see one of two episodes of this cartoon again, it wasnt remarkable, but I'd hate to just see it lost forever. Is there any place where I could buy DVD's or something?

  • Not showing up in the usual places, and it's not on DVD. It'll probably never happen. EA, you know.

  • I believe that some VHS episodes of Mutant League pop up on EBAY for sale every now and then...

  • No, it's just the Mutant League movie.

  • I don't think Mutant League was that bad of a cartoon.I use to watch it but it was'nt my most favorite cartoon neither.I just enjoy the origin of 80's & 90's cartoons and this cartoon came from the 90's.Mutant League may not have shown the best animation but hell I'd rather go back and watch it over much of today's advanced yet boring tossed together of what's left of what use to be good cartoons...

  • Hehe, yeah, I used to catch it before school every morning... what a messed-up lineup. Sailor Moon followed by Mutant League, then on 43 was Transformers and Mighty Max... So I wonder if WBNX assumed that only girls got up at 5:30 in the morning.

If you're depressed about the quality of today's cartoons, I recommend you check out Chowder and Flapjack on Cartoon Network. It's not hopeless.

If Youtube weren't run by assholes, I'd have a metric shitload of eighties and nineties cartoons uploaded.

  • Yeah I agree with you.Someone had the Ultraforce episodes posted up and now it's completely stripped off of youtube. So I totally agree with you.A bunch of dicks run youtube for sure...

  • For real. It would be a different story entirely if the shows were available on DVD, but even when popular shows get the treatment, you typically get random, out of sequence episodes, no bonus content, crap package design that could be done better by any DeviantArt failure, and not even an announcement online.

I've discovered WHEELED WARRIORS on DVD in DOLLAR STORES. I hadn't known before that point that the show was even being rereleased... but naturally, in an extremely limited fashion. Meh.

  • So you use to wake up before 5:30 too? Man I thought I was the only one. Great way to start the morning, though.

  • Too bad I didn't bother recording Mutant League, though. I thought it was crap at the time. Who would have known it would be sought after in the distant future of 2008? Not that I could have managed to hold onto a sizeable VHS collection over the years either way.

  • This show and Samurai Pizza Cats.

  • wish someone would post an episode or two of this up...

  • You're not missing anything. The show was nothing short of awful. Terrible plots, cheap animation, awful voice acting, and it was so sanitized it serves only as an example of how NOT to make a cartoon.

Eh, if I could go back to 1996, I'd record a lot more. These WBNX promos and commercials came from one tape that survived near-degaussing several times, and a half dozen hurried midnight relocations.

So... I guess Mutant League is lost to history, unless someone else happens to have recorded it.

  • I think if there is enough people requesting it or a petition is signed, I'm sure the creators would release it on DVD or a channel would air it.

  • Internet petitions mean nothing, and it will NEVER air on TV again. If you don't believe me, check out the Drugs episode of You Can't Do That on Television. TV's too sanitized to even allow warnings against certain behavior. Yes, nothing like denial to remove a child's curiosity!

Your only hope is to acquire VHS copies that someone recorded from TV, really.

Seriously, if you want the episodes, start a fansite, and ask around constantly. You may luck across the right person after a while.

  • I don't know, the just brought back The Biker Mice From Mars. They didn't change it to be all crappy like they did with the new TMNT. Same Animation, same voices (For the mice anyway) and half of the same writers. But yeah, I doubt the writing for it will be violent as it use to, and if they ever did bring back Mutant League it would be very toned down and crappy and japaneese. FUCK I miss the 90's! Today's kids are pansies, haha.

  • But still, thankyou very much for this clip. It's so hard to find any clip of anything to do with Mutant League. I was beginning to think I dreamed the whole series. Nobody knew what I was talking about. Now I can finally burn this! Thanks again pal.

  • You get one up and I would defenetly sign. But I think you would need a million signatures b4 they would consider it. And at the top of it it would have to say "petition to bring back Mutant League with no changes"

  • Well I dont care about getting that on TV again, I would just like it on DVD, no animated series not matter how bad it is deserves to get lost in history.

  • DVD would be better. If they show it on tv, chances are they would edited out some material. Like some of the gore, there was an episode about transmitting disease and drug addiction. There was even a couple of bits where one of the mutants squeezed another male's knee.

  • Exactly, I remember a lot of limb ripping and decapitation lol. Good old times.

  • I also remember somebody punching a hole through the lizard guy's torso.
