Uh, dude, what are you talking about? There's no such thing as Santa Fe #5344. There is however a New York Central loco #5344 if that's what you're talking about.

who told you it was gonna be a steam doubleheader? it will be just 3751 and nothing was mentioned about a doubleheader and definitely is not gonna be a doubleheader.

It was part of a rumor that I heard on the internet before. Until recently I found out that it wasn't going to be a doubleheader when Bob Kittle told me.

railfan101 i can confirm for you that what you heard about a possible trip in june is true.3751 will be running an excursion to san diego on june 1st.i bought tickets to ride the train about a week ago.if you want to see 3751 running again this is your chance.not only will get to see 3751 i am going to be riding onboard the train.

Thanks theUP844. I'm glad the trip is finally going to happen. However, it will not be a steam doubleheader like I heard before, just #3751, 1 Amtrak diesel, and 10 cars. Also, I'm just going to watch the train instead of riding it because it's more fun to me to watch rather than ride. The tickets are too expensive anyway.

This event took place in April 2007. She usually doesn't go to very far because of the educational program they do every year. They don't do excursions very often because of constant rail traffic, failed trips, ect. But, I have heard of a possible trip that will take place in June 2008.

Santa Fe #3751 uses a Santa Fe 6 chime, not an SP 6 chime, just to let you know. Just a friendly reminder.

Very nice! I love any video on the 3751. She's probably one of the prettiest Northerns out there, and a perfect example of 1940's steam power. And I absolutley LOVE her AT&SF 6-chime whistle.
