Ahhh the Fit, sadly the only hatchback we get to see from Honda over here. I wish they actually had a 3 door model instead of just the 5 door, would feel a lot less like a average car that way (but perhaps im just nit-pickey cause i want to find a nice successor some day for my 93 Civic SI Hatch) Im saddened that because America gets away with such poor drivers the philosophy here is pretty much "no powerful imports" so we never will get to see any nice Civic type R's :(
@drakewingfire Competitor of Fit, Toyota Yaris has a 3 door version... so I wonder why not FIt too? Anyway, I think you should stick to your Civic as long as you could (while I know you were recently having mechanical problems) because no other cars could mean the same to you. But thinking that 5 door Fit (and other Honda cars) has lots of enthusiastic fans all around the world, this is another type of car that makes owners feel special : )
@chitaka2000 Oh hell, I plan on storing that thing away when the day comes that she gives up the ghost, I tend to be one of those people that is not only really attached to their first car, but also would love to one day have it for a restoration project. I really envy the people who hung onto their old N600's, CVCC's and early 70's Civics I see a few ones around my area that actually even have collectors plates :O
@drakewingfire are u drunk or have u never seen a ep3 type r? its not a fit its only 3 door........ and if u have a 93 hatchback si u should do a motor swap in it.
Engine swaps are a fair bit of cash and why blow that much cash if I already have a good running Vtec engine. thats only something I would do if I was the average moron who ran his engine with no upkeep or oil changes till it burned its rings out :P. Shes pushing well over 300k now and still running strong.
@10SecLightning I'm sure u get a base model type of an ep3, it doesnt have to a be a type r to be a 3 door im just saying. Eventually u will be looking at a full rebuild.
A motor swap is only something you would do if u were an average moron and ran ur engine with no upkeep or oil changes till it burns the rings out?
Um, did that not make any since what so ever or are u really drunk?
@KenDiriwan There are some compact cars that are fun to ride, and what J's has done is an extreme example. Among Honda, TypeR cars challenge the driver in many ways, but this sporty version of Fit/Jazz is a car for anybody who solely want to have fun.
Would love to see how they dial for the rear beam suspension
