Man, you have to remember that it was the late 80s! Everybody from kids to adults worn bright gaudy clothes, mullets, frizzy hair, perms, etc. Even the 1st Season of the Saved By The Bell cast worn those type of clothing that were bright and loud. It was the style back then. Bright colors were cool back in those days.
