  • I'm a guitarist, but always had a fascination with the drums. It's amazing what you guys can do. That was some seriously awesome playing, and very interesting to listen to you narrate! GREAT JOB! Thanks for posting!

  • I would LOVE to jam this with you mate (me on guitar)

  • @march2fuzz And if we did, i would promise not to talk the whole way through.

  • dude.....shut up!

  • Great job man, you should be proud!

  • good job bro !!

  • amazing!

  • That was incredible. Other than that...I'm speechless.

  • Dude. You just might be the only drummer who doesn't ignore those little grace notes on the high hat there in the beginning. I guess thats just another one of those things separate a great drummer from the good drummers.

Oops. Let me rephrase that from a guitarted guys point of view.

I guess thats just another one of those things that separate a drummer that dont suck that much from the drummers that do.

And I've always thought those little notes were such a big part of making that song cool.

  • I don't remember leaving that comment down there. Patty cake with a blind person? Who thinks of this shit?

Some people are just crazy, man. Crazy.

    And, hey... Speaking of people...

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

  • I love this song too. Excellent hi-hat exchange and snare work. Nice explanation. Been learning this one.

  • Amazing! you so get it! I wonder if Neal ever peeks at any of these clips

  • i dotn know what to call it but, when yuo said the chuka chuka thing, it reminded me of the thing in alot of songs by rush like limelight, tom sawyer, and im sure many other, but they do it with toms. idk what its called or how to do it and i was wondering if you could make a video on it.

  • Wow. I think I may (or may not) be able to cheat my way through this one. Alex's part is sort of not too difficult, Geddy's bass line is funner to play than patty-cake with a blind person, and Neil is moderately moderate with this one. A few weird things and some chugga-chuggas here and there, but it seems to be much easier than Natural Science or CygnusX1. Or even Didacts and Narpets (or "Teachers and Parents" to those who believe that Neil used "didacts" as an anagram for "addicts").

  • What a brilliant idea to narrate these songs! I didn't realize there were hi-hat "grace" notes starting at 2:21! It's comforting to know there's someone else out there obsessively scrutinizing Neil's drumming like I do! lol Anyway, great great job.

  • Thanks to both of you, Neil has great instructional videos to correct him :-)))

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

thanks for this im going to try to learn this song now, always wanted to.

Maybe can you guide us through "You Bet Your Life?"

  • Vital Signs is my favorite, and I was wondering when you were going to give this song the treatment... thank you very much! Its stuff like this that pushes me to not only try and learn songs such as this, but to have the cojones to put them up on youtube.

  • you are awesome for doing this for drummers

  • hahaha i can't play either songs. thats why i requested the narrate lol.

and yeah the hats are amazing and the ride bell is like angelic lol.

  • Nice, but since the other guy gave you one, can I? :D YYZm if you don't mind.

  • if your taking requests, do you think you could narrate Malignant Narcissism, and Wheres My Thing? thanks :)

ps: i asked u what you think i should buy (paragon cymbal wise) and i just got my 22"ride,18"crash and 14"hats in the mail yesterday.

  • Hmm. I could do a narration of Where's my Thing?, but I'll give you my narrtion for Malnar right here in one sentence -- memorize 122 distinct bars of drumming and then play in and out and around the time.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Paragons. I'm getting a couple more myself next week.

  • wheres my thing would be a good narrated.i still think that tmmb would be good.another thing i thought would be cool is a warm up(i would think u do a warm up type thing a day or so)narrated just to no what ur thinking and y ur doing what ur doing and stuff.btw great video
