  • @TheVetrix

    Because it is part of the country. It is one of the most disaster prone countries in the world. Earthquakes, and typhoons are a regular occurrence.

  • Beautiful country still. Best wishes to all japanese people involved in the catastrophe.

  • This is HD, not the best enconding, but HD at least.

  • BBC IS BEST!

  • This is not HD.

  • @JackCarver10 1920x1072 at 30 frames and bandwidth up to 5Mbps. It is HD video.

  • @1GingerMan1 No, it's not. Have you ever seen 1080p HD in your life?

    Is this some kinf of joke?

  • @JackCarver10 Don't be a dick. Just enjoy the beautiful video.

  • @chickenanon  I can't, I'm a dick.

  • OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH ALL IN JAPAN. TO THOSE THAT HAVE LOST LOVED ONES AND THOSE CLOSE TO THEM. MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BRING PEACE INTO ALL YOUR LIVES, AMEN.

  • @dandamakakojo I know it's a simplistic and some might say, childish argument but surely if there is monotheistic god, that god caused (or didn't prevent) the earthquake in the first place, god wanted those people to suffer, so praying for "ALMIGHTY GOD" to bring peace into all your lives is doubly naive, insensitive and illogical, it seems far more plausible that you using this tragedy to, for want of a better word, 'advertise' and spread your own ideology or were you just to cheap to donate?

  • @MrClassi Many thanks for your response. I was not spreading my 'own ideology', for God (capital G) is for all. Wishing people or someone to have peace amidst adversity is showing compasion, care, etc. to those that are in the circumstance. Surely, you, (possibly) wish those you know to 'Get well soon'. You will not call that 'illogical' or being cheap. Thoughts as well as actions count.

    Your comment seem irrelevant and carries no weight - perhaps you were bored

    14 people liked my message...

  • @dandamakakojo So nice to know I got through to you, so your new comment would be "OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH ALL IN JAPAN. TO THOSE THAT HAVE LOST LOVED ONES AND THOSE CLOSE TO THEM. PERSONALLY, I WISH YOUR FOR YOUR LIVES BE RETURNED TO PEACE AS SOON AS HUMANLY IS POSSIBLE." which has no chance of upsetting or annoying anyone, unless of course you disagree with what's written in the quotes...

  • @dandamakakojo

    P.S Why couldn't you have said "Thank god for your response" at the start of your reply that would have been amazing

    P.P.S Yes, the argument is completely irrelevant, gOD generally is, but with no weight! I managed to detect your accidental synthesis of conflation and vicious circle arguments and counteract that with logic, plus I spotted that your responded with false dichotomy supported by appeals to emotion and a personnel attack.. what do you know I guess I am bored

  • @dandamakakojo P.P.P.S Sorry about all this pointless commenting but the train is still a few minutes from admiralty so I still have a few minutes to while away, your "Thoughts, as well as actions, count" comment (Which I have helpfully grammaticised) surely those thoughts are only good if they actually make the people suffering feel better some way, unless of course god hears it...

  • @dandamakakojo .... anyway perhaps for those people who live in the affected nation or perhaps even the affected area and see your comment (and read english) you could have not mentioned a god i can give extremely good odds on they don't believe in... to make them feel better? with your kind words, ahh sorry about the major drop in the quality of my syntax but I am out of here I can't wait to see how all these comments look im going to come off as such a douche or worse

  • @dandamakakojo Woah I read this all back for this first time, err how can I fix this, oh the word THEY on the third line of my last comment put that in capitals in your mind... there you go, fixed

  • Looks awful imo!

  • I think that it is gathered up well.

    I heard a bad place of Japan in news day after day, but felt the good place some other time.

  • I would love to spend AT LEAST one year in Japan, to travel from the very north of Hokaido to the Ryu Kyu islands. There must be so much to discover and learn, so many wonderful people to meet, and so much history to explore.

  • I am so proud to be a JAPANESE!!!

  • Must visit Japan one day

  • Beautiful Japan ......

  • whats the name of those trees

  • Hope people who's not Otakus watches this. Hate people making Japan sound like it's the best place in the world. But still this is nice :D

  • @tomkasto

    if you know what otaku is you're probably an otaku deep inside. I don't know what an otaku is and I don't want to know either. Ignorance is sometimes a bliss.

  • @Kra7as Well you're half right. I was an Otaku before but no longer. Can't believe i was so childish and stupid.

    Otaku = Obsessed with something.

    In this case manga/anime.

    But as a country Japan is really beatiful with a great history. But i can't stand the nerds who praise Japan as the best country in the world because of all the series they've watched and etc...

  • @tomkasto

    I was fond of east-Asian cultures myself since I was a little child, and after discovering that I have Mongolian ancestry my interest only got stronger. But after seeing all the weeaboos on the internet I really started to hate Asian countries and sometimes I wanna' beat the weeaboos at my high school up.

  • @tomkasto

    Japanese culture is long dead. If you go to the streets of Tokyo now you would only wonder what this country has become - a completely deformed picture of its former self, with a horrible combination between western and eastern cultures.

  • @Kra7as

    tokyo is chaos,this fact includes the pros and the cons both.after the last war,japan had to build up everything as soon as possible,but tokyo has been more beautiful and more beautiful.in other hand you should also focus on the tradition of country side and nature even in tokyo there are a lot of japanese cultuer you can never experience in any other place in the world!!!and also nice that there are no stupid islam dogs bubbles allah...bla bla on the street!in the safe and order!LOL!

  • @kaizoku3

    why do you hate muslims? I'm an ex-muslim but I'm wondering why you don't want "islam dogs bubbles allah bla bla" as you described them.

    if you're making fun of the language you should know that japanese is linked to the sumerian language, and it's from the middle east.

  • @Kra7as

    Wtf is an ex-muslim?

  • @Kra7as

    why hate?because when I was liveing in Berlin,they made too much trouble even to me,and I really hate that muslim got anger when some japanese treated a kolan bad,then bunch of muslim made a fuss on the street.its just a book for us.I can't consider muslim as a mankind.too cruel,no reason.

    concern about sumer,I know and I heard so,its nice that our ancestors made mesopotamia but actually sumer is not arab,same as italian is not roman,we and arab have nothing in common

  • @kaizoku3

    actually you're right. I'm from "sumeria" and I agree that some muslims are really not humans. why? because one of human's characteristics is to think logically and muslims don't think at all, they just follow what their book tells them.

    the Japanese didn't "make" mesopotamia but they're linguistically ( and perhaps culturally and genetically ) related to the people that made sumeria. those people would later become known as Iraqis.

  • @Kra7as

    linguistically?exectly how?sumerian is the language which can't be classified into any lanuguage type.at this moment noone can be sure but this language has not been shared and I also heard japanese has gene of ancient middle east,and you can find some sumerian symbol in japanese tradition for exemple the symbol of japanese emperor,and sumerian hieroglyph was found in shikoku area so I beleive that we have gene of sumer.

  • @kaizoku3

    yes you're right. this is an interesting subject. Sumerian and Japanese are both classified as "language isolates" and their families are both unknown.

    english ---- japanese ---- sumerian :

    water = mizu = mazu

    earth/ground = chi = ki

    hate = kirai = karai

    words/language = kotoba = kitaba

    what = nani = muni

    be = sa seru = seheru

    i will learn more about the topic.

  • @Kra7as

    Japanese -- English

    mazu = bad tasle

    ki = power / air / tree / machine / season

    karai = hot(taste) / spicy

    kitaba = northern place

    muni = matchless

    just coincidence

  • @sijotakane

    there are too many similarities to say they're all just coincidences.

  • @kunpun i dont understand you but i love japan too ;D

  • @schweingut1 His comment wasn't necessarily about that. It's talking about Japan culture dying somewhat or that's how I interpret it. I used a translator but i got the basic idea..

  • @kunpun I agree.

  • @kunpun

    Por desgracia, el Japón ha caído en un estado de emergencia se les podría retirar la soberanía de la nación.

    Hace 150 años que comenzó en el estado internacional de casi cero.

    and the quality of the hd woooooooooooooooooooow

  • i love japan

    the people, their cultur and tradition

    i like everyithig there

  • Beautiful.

  • Awesome

  • I just love how japan,loves it's old past! No body here cares overal about older stuff around here

    ..especially the nice beautiful barns in the large vast open alfalfa fields,yet... when you come back to the same barn 10 years latter the barn's roof had collapsed nearly and completely.

  • @captinseperoth Part 1: Sir, you have obviously not been to Japan. I've been living here for 6 years, and I will tell you that this is propaganda. If you come here, you will realize that the photographer kindly left out 99.9% of the country, and for good reason.

    Japan has completely destroyed its own beauty over the generations. For example, one of the last old buildings in Tokyo, the "Kabuki-za" theater, was recently torn down to build a more "modern" one.

  • @captinseperoth Part 2: You don't have to just believe my words. How do you know that I'm for real? Instead, go over to Google Maps. Use the "Street View" function. Now, pick a few random cities/towns and zoom in to any random spots in those cities. Then use Street View to see what those places look like in actual fact.

    Then get back to me. And I bet you that if you try 10 times, all 10 Street View pictures will look a lot worse than your hometown (unless you fancy nondescript concrete boxes).

  • @Rationalific

    true,but in 50-60 years i wonder what what would japan would be like its declining population?

    more green matter perhaps?

    and your right about propaganda..now that i think of BBC (Biased Broadcasting Channel)(yes i know,all news stations are biased to one way or another,but its ironic ....)

  • @captinseperoth Part 1: Thanks for understanding. In truth, I don't mean to be a downer and to burst the dreams of others. And I sometimes think I should just shut up. But I really think it's unfair how people are led to believe lies based on very careful photography that makes a place seem like it hasn't changed for 200 years, when in fact even Kyoto's core has been gutted. I feel that a bit of truth might actually lead Japan to take more progressive steps to save what little remains.

  • @captinseperoth Part 2: You're right. In 50-60 years, Japanese cities will probably be quite a bit nicer. Right now, there is worry in Japan about the population decline. But I think it's for the best. It might hurt their version of social security (because there are fewer young people to pay for the old) but the benefits will far outweigh the costs in quality of life.

    Anyway, there are many worthwhile places in Asia to visit, so don't let me put you off the region! Thanks for the reply!

  • BBC歪みねぇな

  • @wookieinheat

    Yes we need to use icebreakers in the Sea of Okhotsk, north east coast of Hokkaido, where the sea is packed with ice during Jan. to Mar.
