This film is totally badass. Easily the best COA movie in the past several years. I rate it higher than Slumdog only cuz beneth the sobering conditions depicted in Mumbai, the story is absurd. In this movie the story is very genuine. Go Kate Jarvis.

@MiltonicRhetoric you have mental issues, this is about as far from porn as you can get. the concept of relating something in terms of porn applys to a film that only achieves on the shallowest and narrowest of levels and is a completely empty experience. transformers 2 is pornography for 10 year olds. fishtank is about as far removed from 'porn' as you can get, youd have to be pretty unaware of what you are talking about to suggest such a thing

This is my favorite film since Elephant. I love the "Life's a bitch" scene and the light shinning through the window during "California Dreaming". MOST AMAZING FILM EVER!!!

I went to go and see this film today and it's your kind of negative views which put off young actors from taking chances. I think Katie Jarvis did an amazing job considering she has never acted in a film before. The film is very well done and you can f*** right off if your gonna comment unhelpful bullshit like that.

Andrea Arnold is a highly respected, acclaimed director, she's one of the few directors keeping British cinema afloat.

And I don't mind a "depressing" looking film coming along once in a while, if it's interesting and a coherent piece of art. Makes a change from the shit loads of vacuous"entertainment" clogging up commercial cinema and television at the moment.
