I think it was in part that Souwer had just fought Nieky Holzken in late November and had fought a total of 4 fights in October(MAX Finals and a Shootboxing event). Now thats alot of fights in such a short period of time, give the man some rest. But yeah I would like to see the 3rd installment to Andy vs Masato, prehaps in a Superfight.

Am a Buakaw and Andy fan but i can tell you this

why Masato lost to Andy Souwer. He fought Buakaw before the fight against Andy souwer. Buakaw did alot of devastating low kicks and he amazingly was able to beat Buakaw by a one ko (to me it wasn't a ko... he went faster up then he went down) and after that fight he was up against andy and i think its few fighter in the world that can take Buakaw and andy on one day

Well it wasn't a KO, it was a knock down, and it's the most soild knock down on Buakaw in k-1...

and NO he did not only beat him caus of that one knock down, he won the first round becaus of the knock down, the second one is closer to a draw, but if anyone should have had it, it was Masato, and the third one he really just beat Buakaw fair 'n' square for all the money! Buakaw tok more shots then an alcoholic in that third round..

AND after the fight with Buakaw, Kyshenko had a go at the leg to

Zambidis was a bad match up for souwer, actually probably a bad match up for any of the k1 fighters. He could beat any of the fighters on the right day or just injure them like he did to masato in that fight... But Souwer showed he isn't just lucky.

untill the "knock down" souer was losing, even though Masato was using more kickes then he should in 06....

the main reason Souwer has fans is that he sybolises luck, most peopel see him he's not as fitt as ANY of the other top fighters, he dosn't train remotly as hard, yet het gets the tittle, this is what people like, the easy way going all the way, they see him and go: "oh, I don't have to train as hard as Masato, I don't have to be as fitt as Buakaw ect ect to win"

Anyways, he's far from the top, but he's a good fighter (which is why I'm compearing him to Souwer...) Kohi won against Kraus by a far bigger margen then Souwer did btw;)

But I think Souwer is at Kohi's level, and mostly have won by luck (like 05 against Buakaw, noone can really say he won that...) and in 07 against Masato-sama (everyone knows he'd NEVER win that fight if it wasn't for Buakaw and Arthur... EVERYONE^_^)

And when people say Souwer is BETTER then Kohi (indeed, AS fans think he is WAY better just caus he has won 2 times( which I've just explained))

How can you talk that Souwer is at the Kohi's level when Kohi was dominated by Souwer in 2006? I think that one of reasons that Kohi survived this fight was that ref allowed to long fighting in clinch (the longest I've ever seen in K-1). In oposition of you I think that the best K-1 max fighter is Buakaw, but the problem with him is that he has to prove himself that he is the best in each technique, that he can win with each fighter by this fighter best weapon.

Buakaw is second best in my eyes, he's ego got verymuch in the way of hi in 07, mental aspect, too bad...

I think Masato is a better fighter (all around), but Fighting Buakaw is like the hardest thing Masat ocan do, if Masato meets Buakaw 08, he won't winn the belt, if he has fought someone before BPP, he'll lose to BPP( He has to be fresh to beat him), and if he meets him fresh, he's too hurt after the fight to win the belt....

If Buakaw were kicking Masato all three rounds in 2007, he would win that fight by TKO, I think. He started to kick in second round and Masato started to have a problems with it, but after that Buakaw again came back to show that he is better boxer and lose the fight. By the same reason he was defeated by Souwer in 2005. If Buakaw change his mentality, he will be more danger than he has ever been. So, if Buakaw will kick Masato, he will win anyway. But it's safe to say: we'll see

not sure if you understand thai or not, but BPP's corner was yelling "kick his leg!!" for like the entire fight, yet Buakaw (who figured he was as good a boxer as Masato) wanted to knock him out...

he failed to a mental aspect of fighting, the mental aspects of fighting is GREATER then the fysical aspects, so it's just the same as if he had dropped his guard at a bad point or something

these last fight i cannot understand the scoring and judging i think its either rigged or i carnt understand maybe because i have won all my fights from kicking so i cannot see the judging i dont know anymore the level of skill it very high but its hard to watch with this shitty scoreing system it they want boxing they should just get floyed mayweather over because they seem not to like kicking or grapple or anything that isnt punching i dont care who the champ is it dont mean anything anymore

Souwer has a chance of winning actualy, since the only way he can win is if the two best kill eachother first like in 07, and god knows why, they have put Masato an BPP in the same branch again, they'll fight and one will die and the other one will barly live, hence Souwer's only chance

He asked the last time, as the target was Buakaw,now he's after Souwer, having to fight BPP in the smis is not helping xD

and Souwer is still lucky 97 that Masato asked to fight Buakaw, that Masato asked for it does not change the fact that Souwer was lucky, AT ALL :D

The knockdown agains Masato 05 was a bad des by the ref, happens all the time, it was a slipp, not a knock down...

Buakaw actualy won the fight against Souwer 05 on points,but for some reason it went ot Souwer, I of course suspect the japanese for doing it do keep Buakaw from becomign a back to back champion( he beat their golden buy, they couldn't have that) and Buakaw defenetly kicked his ass hard in 06....

I will say Souwer is very good defensive, he's the combo king of MAX and good cardio!
