  • Despite being a Finn, thus an an enemy of the late Soviet Union (but not of Russia, mind), this sends shivers down my spine in a good way.

Dommage!

  • Russia leads everything I like: music, landscapes, nice people, beautiful and sexy language.........that's the country I would like to live forever..............what a wonderful chorus I've heard in this video,I'm amazed with all Russian Nation....greetings from Monterrey Nuevo Leon,Mexico, to all Russian people.......by the way...Russian Anthem is 24 Pure Gold

  • @paruski73 Well, living there for a few years I don'tagree with you!

Have you been there? I mean if you travel as a tourist, things might look different but once you live there then it's a nightmare! This is what almost all the foregenrs staying in Russia for more than a few weeks say!

  • @Sakasvalen okay maybe you're right ,but in Mexico we are almost the same situation.............a sleazy government has taken our balls so hard ,that everybody hates them........I apologize with you,you are right,i've never been there, but I'm making some friends from novosirsk, rusia and I want to learn their language.............that's a passion I've ever had......... greetings from Monterrey to you @Sakasvalen

  • Concuerdo contigo. Saludos.

  • The country isn't the best place to live now sadly... Since the fall of the USSR it's been in a really poor economic state. Not like it wasn't like that during the USSR. It will heal though, it will heal though. That's what capatilism under law does. :)

  • @ModelbuildingTANKS

Obviously you know very little about modern economics, or the economics of other countries. Russia rebounded huge in the market in the past months. Something that US isn't doing.

  • @sepheronx First of all, I don't pay attention to Russia's economics today. I'm surprised they have a, good for them. The US economy has recently made a rebound itself in the past year. However, Russia's economy was doing very poorly in the past 2 decades so I assumed it still was. But maybe you should take a look at US stock market and dow, it's going up everyday now.

  • @ModelbuildingTANKS

Markets fluctuate even during recesson, that does not mean that things are going good. If unemployment rate is high (like it is in the states), and so is poverty, that does not mean the economy is thriving, just that larger industries are doing good. But if you remove manufacturing (which is what is happening), then leave everyone with little jobs, then how do you expect them to pay for the goods that are produced? Most other countries realize this.

  • wonderful

  • Los Coros de la Armada Sovietica, únicos!!!!

  • Those commie bastards had good music.

  • maybe they were not bastards--anyway fair enough

  • Russia!

  • I just so love this song! I think it has always been my favourite one of the Red Army Choir. And agree with you, it's a shame we don't see them anywhere anymore.

  • Pourquoi dis-tu cela ?

It's not true, they're coming to France in 2010, I've got tickets for the concert in Paris !

  • Well, it's been a long time, right? Not to mention that honestly, I haven't heard of this tour in the media - not that I watch the TV anyway.

And now you got me all depressed because I won't be able to go and see them. XP

  • omg lucky you. I wish I could see them in The Netherlands one day, as going to France just for one concert might be somewhat.. above my budget.

..Although, in what month are they coming? If it's in summer I might be able to go :o

  • Just to help a bit with pronunciation.Hope it helps.

  • it does help alot! not slamming the Russian language, just saying, alot of written Russian words are odd and confusing to pronounce.

  • I really appreciate your interest in my request. I would like to have the translation in English , seigneursaladin88.

  • Meadowlands, wide meadowlands, Heroes cross the fields, Hey, heroes of the Red Army. Girls are crying, Today the girls are downhearted, Their dear ones have gone away, Hey, away to the army. Girls, look there, Look there, out on our road, The distant road is pulsing, Hey, the jolly road.
  • But out there we see, We see a grey storm-cloud, The enemy's evil in the forest, Hey, the enemy's evil, like a storm-cloud. Hey, girls, look there, We're ready to take the enemy, Our quick-legged steeds, Hey, our quick-moving tanks. Hey, let the work Bubble gaily in the kolkhozy, We're supervisors today, Hey, today we're sentries.

  • Can anyone write down the lyrics of this song ?

  • The Russian lyrics? their English or French translation? The English version of the song (Field, oh my field)? The French version of it (Plaine, ma plaine)?

  • I've found like 3 different versions of the lyrics and none of them match up with what Ivan Rebroff sings after the first verse.

    Poljushko polje,

    Poljushko shiroko polje,

    Yedut ye po polyu geroyi,

    Eh, da krasnoy armeii geroyi,

    Devushki glyante...(?)...

Neo-conservatives have ruined America. They want to put Reagan on a stamp so they can lick his ass. About 50% of Americans are shit-kickers who voted for Bush TWICE. If I could I'd put them on a trash barge and sail them to Iran.

  • If you need volunteers to load that barge give me a call.

  • I found the lyrics of this song, but the one on Wikipedia doesn't seem to sync with this one after the first verse (i'm trying to read along with the Russian in Latin writings), did wiki fuck up or do they just pronounce it completly differently?

  • You see, russian pronunciation is really hard esp. if you read transcripion.. I don't know their rules, but there are a few which makes text completely different when read.

  • All songs of the red army choir are epics.

  • glory to russian red army choir

    eternal military songs

  • Echt ein Ohrwurm. Ich find das klasse!

    Powerful, beautiful, I'd like that.

  • FANTASTIC song, and FANTASTIC choir! I think that guy playing the muted trumpet with the mustache looked exactly like Joseph Stalin LMAO.

You gotta love their big ass hats too. Just another way of the Soviets saying how much cooler they were than everyone else.

"In Soviet Union, car drive YOU!!!"

  • nice. its used for soviet assault trailer

  • I think YouTube has done a lot to improve international relations. I didn't know what to think when I saw RED ARMY CHORUS with RUSSIANS but they are excellent musicians and singers who perform MY kind of music! If everybody in the world could get together and listen to each other's music eat each other's food and talk about our hopes, concerns and our families, the HELL with the politicians. Politicians only represent themselves. I know they DON'T speak for me!

  • joeocho88 i agree with you i also think people should do that and not follow politicians they are the ones who seperate us from each other they are the ones hwo class us as black white christian muslim and other religions as well...if only there were more people who thinks this way....

  • I'm glad there are Americans like you, and you are even from Texas! Though I personally think both Putin and Bush are complete retards on a powertrip, my full respect goes to both U.S. and Russian citizens.

I totally agree on Youtube. Youtube is all about sharing information and the freedom of speech!

  • Agreed

  • These guys are great. I hope we never have to fight them.

  • Italy or Spain would not have a chance if this was sung from the terraces in Vienna on Thursday

  • yep tottaly aggree but Mostesquieu"no any nations are free from its own goverment"

so people say i like use i just dont like its policy.. so where did hell bush come from then???from the moon???usa citizens voted for him so.. u can't say politians are very different than american citizens...i respect Venezuella and Russia or countries like that....in usa people are lyin on the groun and people just pass by.. ur so selfish and opportunist people....

  • Im not a fan of the soviets but this is a great song.

  • love the red army choir bat not red army.... Polish Boy

  • even though I'm Russian, I have the same feelings

  • this music is used in the

Wordl in Conflict Soviet Assault Trailer, i love this song

  • Another world is possible, I believe in direct democracy that comes from people not from top burocratic classes like was in Soviet Union!

South America is a great example: one by one all the countries that were under dictatorship

    created by Usa are changing

  • another world is possible when america go down soviet union was emerged from people! read more my intelectual friend! never forget, you live in controled democracy...the freedom no exist. all of your information are manipulated, you democratic example is a joke,,, THE FEAR BASED Government

  • I agree, but I see that people have possibilities to change this negative situation, if people know rel world!

  • direct democracy produces dictatorship.

  • Does anybody know the translation of this tuching melody?

    Thanks,

    Merci.

  • The translation is too long to post here. Basically, though, it's a song by the Red Army going against Hitler's Nazi invasion. They sing to the girls that are waiting for them, thy tell them that everything will be alright, they go with song and they have swift tanks and aircrafts. They ask the girls not to cry. It's written (both music and words) in the style of the traditional Russian folk song.

  • sycodelich, sry but it's about the russian civil war

  • oops. ok :) well - that's not as nice then, but still a beautiful melody!

  • look up for translation

  • I LOV THIS SONG. MY FAVORITE<

  • one of my favorits

  • ClassicA111 : Well every flag has blood on it .

Abe Lincoln killed its own people too , during the civil war ... but you forgot about that did`t you ?

They did what they had to do but probably was not enough ...

Now you can continue to keep stuffing yourself with microwaveable crap in colorful plastic rappers discased as "freedom" and hope you get aproved for health coveredge in this "great" capitalism of yours...

  • Mines...))I do live in America now, but I was born in Russia. My culture would not be considered as american but as Russian. I do not have anything against a nationality or a country. I do not care where the person is from or what he believes in-the main thing is that he is good at heart and resects others.

  • Well .. whatever ....

  • You don't agree?)

  • Its a different topic .

  • actually if referring to Stalin he was not Russian hes Georgian. HE was never Russian nor will be counted as one.

  • alwais Stalin be Georgian, never has counted like russian citizen?? what from is your information man ??SOVIET UNION,presidents Stalin born in territory georgia ,but he are SOVIET citizen, really more importants presidents are from others soviet republics, georgia, ukraina, and fucking gorbachov are russian.....

  • varolsun yoldaşlar

  • Your stupid comment has nothing to do with this song, which is great by the way.

  • That`s not True At All ... The Soviet Union will always live in our hearths , our blood is in Soviet RED , and it will give us memories about a dream a Red Dream , about the people who rose against opresion , and buld an empire , The Biggest Empire of the world .. the Empire of The People ...

  • Quite right!!

  • Schmidtah --- that sounds German. Du Hast Misch??

Just Kiddin!! Not :) But honestly without any kind of communist ideology of nationalism. I must admit and say that no other nation, ever had a best kick ass military choir - RUSSIA 4 EVA !!! :D

  • long live communism!,

    comrad noobmode

  • original version of this song

    /watch?v=_KbT-iA5768

很好

  • quote:

    You are a Russian warrior,

    Not Variag, not Greek,

But from a famous tribe of Slavs

    ...

    The book of Veles

  • May the teaching & example of Lenin restore to the Russians a great heritage, confidence & achievements of the people themselves building Socialism.

    Thank you for this video

  • Right! Long live the great red army long live arthu scargill!

  • Za sayuz! s rossey... perioooood...

  • March step riders for Mother Russia.

  • The song itself is great and impressive. But while singing in chorus, it is better not to move this much.I also recommend everyone to find the translation (It can be found easily on the net)

  • I am Arabian and Moslem and i dont have any thing agenst Russians I beleave that they did bad thing to themselves and for the others but i hope that they will be better and be grate like there music

  • Après une plaine une....

  • The song is very ,very beautiful!Shows how deep the division is between us and them. I might have to defend my home against them. I wish I hadn't hear them sing or seen them because they look like us and they play damn good music! I understand them by their music.

  • Then if and when your country asks you to kill them, refuse. Why do you think you might have to fight them anyways?

  • John Lennon said it so simply, friend. When your governments do things you don't agree with, just get together and say no. Stand for what you believe in, not what you are told to believe.

  • btw there is so many sheeps :-/

  • This is the Anthem of Pan-Slavdom!

  • English translation, Please!

  • Field, o my field, My wide field... The Heroes are going across the field, Eh, the Red Army Heroes! Girls, glance at... We can take upon oneself an enemy. Our horses are swiftfooted, Eh, and our tanks are highspeed! So let in kolkhoz The friendly work will be in full swing. We are the patrol today, Eh, and we are the sentries today!
  • Field, o my field,

    My wide field...

The Heroes are going across the field,

    Eh, the Red Army Heroes!

    Girls, glance at...

We can take upon oneself an enemy.

    Our horses are swiftfooted,

Eh, and our tanks are highspeed!

  • midwest is flat, as is parts of siberia, our dear motherland

  • Long Life to the Glorious Red Army!!
