Hey H4T! Whats your opinion about the The National Defense Authorization Act? They say it also ends our Bill of Rights and the constitution. Whats your take on this? You think you might make a rant or video about this?
People want to be important. Facebook and Youtube can make people (especially junior highers) important. I try to keep in mind how they'll respond to my comments and videos. We should all try to be responsible. The youth I see I remind to be where they are . . . get off the phone and computer and be where you are, even if that is Illinois.
Also, I think it is important to remember that young people make up a large part of the youtube community. More and more, kids come home from school, lock themselves up in their rooms, and surf the internet all night. This IS their reality, so we have to be careful what we say and how we say it to a degree. I think family-friendliness in a youtube channel is important, ESPECIALLY when you can show young people enjoying firearms responsibly. I am lucky to have 2 great kids!
@Iraqveteran8888 Yes very true! I have told people that kids who make accounts put a false age and say that they are older when they make an account, so if they do not have have video's up you really never know who are how old the person is that is watching or commenting....
@humans4targets2 This is very true. It can have negative effects sometimes, but so goes it. I can say with all honesty...I do watch other peoples youtube videos to include some of your own. I don't always have time to comment, but I try to check out what others are posting. If I see a youtuber with 30 views and no comments, I try my best to get on there and support them. We are a community of gun owners and we have to stick together and promote the sport as much as we can.

Everything you talked about is not just a 'Youtube' thing. It's an internet thing. All the social networking sites etc... people get consumed. But keep in mind that not everyone 'addicted' are being neglectful to family. I know I am alone and home bound, so my reality of family and friends are online. But in general, I agree with you. You are right. It is a good thing I never did video reviews. I would be broke, have a hoarding room of gear, and an upset wife lol I like watching Youtube and get ideas for things. However, I don't always agree with the reviewer. I don't add neg. comments. I did that once. It I started get wrapped up with the people on that channel. I am also neutral on this subject. I would just remind everyone. Everyone has a right to be on YouTube and do what they want to do with their channel. There are no exceptions. When we start trying to control who is on YouTube and what they can do with their channel we fall into the category of those who are trying to control us. This is no criticism but you are a partner and have 16K subscribers. You are also making money from YouTube and that is great but I would not criticize others.

I think you are right for the most part. While I am on here quite a bit, the first chance I get to go shooting or camping I am gone. What sucks is getting back and having to go back through my subs and catching up on their videos. YouTube can be an excellent source of education and entertainment but, like you said, some people take it waaaay to far.
Everyone has there own opinion, sounds like alot of people are jealous, don't really see what the big deal is, some people have the money and time to really get into YouTube and if they enjoy it then what's the problem, doesn't mean there shutting down there personal life, and family to make a 20 min video, Its a great way to meet people that share the same interest as you.

I am also neutral on this subject. I would just remind everyone. Everyone has a right to be on YouTube and do what they want to do with their channel. There are no exceptions. When we start trying to control who is on YouTube and what they can do with their channel we fall into the category of those who are trying to control us. This is no criticism but you are a partner and have 16K subscribers. You are also making money from YouTube and that is great but I would not criticize others.

And yes Tom, Nutn, and quite a few others including H4T have parts of their channels that piss me off. Mostly what pisses me off is the elitest attitude they have. I think you are right for the most part. While I am on here quite a bit, the first chance I get to go shooting or camping I am gone. What sucks is getting back and having to go back through my subs and catching up on their videos. YouTube can be an excellent source of education and entertainment but, like you said, some people take it waaaay to far.
