  • Love it! Love It! THE DIVA Diana Ross

  • I get tears in my eyes everytime I hear this song too.

  • BRAVO!

  • Beyond perfection !!!

  • This arrangement is so different from Barbra's, but I love it just as much. Only Diana is good enough to pull it off.

  • I never tire of listening to this. Thanks again.

  • LOVES THIS!!!!!!

  • I agree, Diana Ross should have on the Oscar in 1972. I would have like for the Academy to provide the voite count, but they never will. Liza won because her mother never did. Both were good performances, but Ross, being that it was her first acting role, edge out IMO.

  • Sing them Blues Mrs. Ross

  • Love it She has a beautiful voice

  • if anyone should have won an award it was her , sorry not Liza Minnelli

  • Bravo!!!!!!

  • I love her ability to connect with her audience

  • WoooooooooooW!

  • This is why Michael LOVED this woman so much PURE CLASS a TRUE DIVA!!!

  • @614Gem I'm totally AGREE WITH YOU , and also because she's a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN

  • PERFECT .........

  • everytime i see this it reminds me of how pissed we all were the night Caberet won everything and Lisa beat out Diana for best actress....still makes me mad, although i now see that Caberet was a good movie, but Lady Sings The Blues was so good....should have won......

  • she was singing by her heart

  • This is what love is all about. I love this song. And she sings the hell out of it.

    Bravo Diana.

  • Diana ross the best singer woman

  • That was beautiful.

  • "Bravo" Diana Ross a true SUPERSTAR

  • she was doing some of her best vocal performances during this stage of her career.

  • Diana sings this song with alot of conviction along with the tears. Great performance by her. Well well performed. My favorite version.

  • Not to mention a GREAT MOVIE W/ A SEXY MAN THAT OOOOZES SEX APPEAL.

  • What an absolutely heavenly voice... and such beauty!!!!!!!

Always loved her, especially in Lady Sings the Blues and Mahogany.

  • Thanks for posting this. I loved the movie and especially this song.

  • I love this song by Diana R. and Barb S.

I was watching Funny Girl a week ago and when Barb sang this I cried, it is such a sad song.

    Wonderful and thanks for posting.

  • she is so beautiful and her voice is so near perfect

  • Blow minding performance.. Even the way she speak, sounds angelic...

  • Beautiful, no one sings this song better than Diana - even if the lyrics are flawed. One must consider that it's nearly 100 years old.

  • Aah...Lady Di. She's the best AND this song, is my fav.

  • love you so much the best yes she is the boss wow wow wow

  • Arguing about who's better in 'My Man' brings on only stupid divisions. The music is great if it makes you fell alright. No matter whether it's sung by Diana, Barbra or Billie.

  • she made me cry to..., that's amazing....

  • wow, great find

  • WOW! I'd forgotten just how good Diana used to be.

  • me too!!!

  • She can put emotion into any performance she does!

  • incredible

    shes amazing

  • Superbe interprétation de cette chanson de Billie Holliday, et gros clin d'oeil de Ross à celle qu'elle admire...

  • it will be heard for me to sing that song I will start crying also

  • Is this the same Caesers Palace Show when she sang her songs from the boss album?

  • yes, because boss album is from 1979 and her first ceasars palace act was in 1974

  • cry me Home Mss Ross!!!!!! I tell ya so.....all the love from Bahamas

  • WOW!!...Amazing! My jaw dropped. Singing that song live must be one of the hardest things to do!!

  • she's an artist. and she's amazing.

  • she's a real diva...and amazing!

  • because her greatest hits were poppish we forget that she really has an amazing, unique voice... this song really showcases her talents. And she looks gorgeous!

  • best performance

  • pure talent and emotion, she is the one and only Diana Ross, congrats on kenndy center honor, long over due.

  • One of the highest expressions of quality in talented performance ever!

New talent girls in entertainment... want to see what quality is?

    Take a close look!

    Bravo, Bravo Diana!!!

  • whitney and diana are in another level, i know there´s barbra, there´s dionne, gladys, patti, aretha, celiene etc... but those ladys, have something really special on her voices...

  • She's just incredible....

  • hey, she is the one who sings a song that sounds like this?: powpowpowpow

  • and that, ladies and gentlemen, is a legendary live performance...it just really doesn't get much better than this!

  • My sister had the album that they made from this show at Caesar's, we played it for years. I remember thinking she was a wonderful entertainer and I don't think we're really going to see the likes of Diane again.

  • Dianas vesion is better than Babs. More conviction and soul.I remember watching this in 1981 when it aired the same day as Charles and Di got married.

  • Barbra and Diana are performers with different styles but people forget one thing-Diana portrayed the life of lady day in the movie Lady sings the Blues, there-fore the soundtrack of the movie is burned and engraved in Diana's heart, and she has something that barbra lacks-soul, ok she has soul, and besides you never see barbra crying like that singing, those are pure and honest feelings you just cant fake pain like that only God knows what was happening in her life at the momentcharly-ponce pr

  • beautiful. i bought the blue album last week and loved this track. simply amazing!

  • Barbra Streisand's vrsion is better!!!

  • Never.

  • BAB'S AIN'T GOT NO SOUL; IF SHE'S SO MUCH BETTER, HOW COME SHE DIDN'T PLAY "LADY SINGS THE BLUES" IN THE MOVIE?[HA,HA,HA...] i'm joking.

  • diana´s version is better, barbra overdose it... beside tough i love babs, many of her songs sound the same,

  • Thank you so much for posting this concert! I saw it when it first aired and think it is one of Ms. Ross' finest moments! It was fab to see it again!

  • mooie herineringen

  • Lady

  • Best rendition EVER of "MY MAN"

  • omg! that was beautiful, if i`m right was`nt that one of the main tracks, to lady sings the blues. brava!

  • I personally think Barbra and Diana are both GREAT singers.

  • I always find it funny how people that dont like a certain artist will take time out of their day to sit down and think hard about that particular artist and then take out some more time to put those negative thoughts into prose/script/words, or whatever you want to call it. Diana and Barbara (First of all I dont know how or why they are being compared) are both great in their respective ways.

  • Babs was always popular with the queens, Anjoel22...

  • You are an Angel dian i love you

  • bitch.. shut the fuck -up..Diana own this song.. barbra is boring...she has changrd since funny girl.. most singers make the transition.. she's stuck..sang la davina..

  • Barbra Streisand does it soooo much better. Sorry, but its true. When we're talking vocal power, Diana Ross has nothing on Barbra Streisand.

  • Anjoel, I could have a lot of vocal power too if, say, I was to ram a steak knife through my eye socket. Grace, stage presence and raw emotion are far more important and difficult to achieve, something ol' Babs should have spent a little more time practicing! Anyhoo, another superb performance by the Greatest of the Greats.

  • I guess if by "great" you mean mediocre! But being a pretty drunk is not the same thing as having a great voice. I guess you like Beyonce, Britney, and all the other "product" celebrities who are famous for being pretty. Barbra isn't "pretty" but take a look at her singing this same song and then we can talk. And correction: Anyone can become graceful. Anyone can be taught stage presence. And everyone posesses raw emotion. Few have a truely remarkable voice. Word bitch!

  • She was never better than this. And this was better than Whitney, Patti, Aretha, and Beyonce ever got!

  • This should be on DVD. Amazing.

  • PLEASE UPLOAD THE BOSS

  • You should have uploaded "I Ain't Been Licked" from the point of stage black and band starts to play when she runs out onto the stage. THAT is a great performance and she looks HOT AS HELL!

  • Peak Diana (1979-1980). This is from my favorite televised concert: Live at Caesar's Palace for HBO (1979). Just a beautiful performance!!! Blessings to this sensitive, lovely woman!

  • I have always thought this was one of Diana's finest, strongest vocal performances on film....
