The instrument is called 'chong hu' which is simular to 'Eurh' but with lower pitch than Erhu. They are chinese msical instrument. The name 'Erhu' and 'chong hu' are pronounced directly from chinese pronounciation.
@myfaceispurple Erhu and Chong hu only have 2 string with around 2 octaves while violin and cello have 4 string with around 3 octaves. Erhu and Chong hu use snake skin vibration to product sound which is much similar the human voice while violin and cello use wood to product sound which is much similar the machanical voice. That why Erhu and Chong hu be so attractive when performing deeper emotion feeling.
The performer in this vedio just using synthetic skin rather than snake skin.

@tonpakfu so....would erhu and chong hu be like a violin is to a cello?....like same thing....but a deeper tone and lower notes?
