  • KJ's got a mad sense of humour too haha. Love this guy.

  • KJ Sawka...Runnin the BITNESS!!!!!!

  • Unbelievable talent ... KJ Sawka is the reason I mostly focus on drum sounds now in any song!!

  • Amazing!!!

  • Amazing song and an Amazing cover.

  • good cover!!!

  • does he have triggers hooked up to his cymbals?

  • Id like to get hold of those splash cymbals he has, with 1 on top of the other, any idea what they are?

  • @DnB4Lyff he just mounted 2 of them that way. their not sold together in some special pack or anything like that.

  • love it, KJ Sawka is amazing.

  • I've been watching this the past few days.

You're all i can listen to now.

    Everything else seems so BLAN

I'm buying your sample CD, and im going to mix all your shit and put it up :-)

Great job man, keep it goin!

  • brilliant

  • O_O LOL....Indeed...lol

  • when kj sawka gets behind a drumkit it makes me moist. and im a guy. thats how fucking rad he is.

  • I know Im commenting again but I cant stop listening to this

  • dude is freaking awesome and he is remixing mutemath- chaos I have to say his music gets better everytime I listen to it

  • crazy shitt

  • nice drum skillz

  • i always wondered why certain drummers

    use deformed and worn-out hats.

is it abrasion (signs of wear) or purpose (for the sake of sound, so to speak)?

you have to know i'm really into drums,

but i have no drumming experience whatsoever.

  • It is because of the sound. Resonance etc.

  • i see...

    thanx 4 the info!

same goes with kicks and snares, then.

    you never stop learning :-)

  • My guess is that bad symbols reveal their flaws through repetitive playing, and solid symbols reveal their consistency in sound with reptitive playing.

Kind of like shoes, sometimes you'll get a pair that lasts 3 months, others will last you years and years.

  • @ Dabehindi:

It's both sometimes - cymbals of course dont look as shiny as they did when you bought them after you have played years with them... But also when cymbals are used and they get all dirty and stuff the sound becomes lower, and some people like it that way. :)

  • you're right!

new cymbals create too much high

    frequency (even inaudible) that'll

    make your ears bleed!

    that's why sound engineers have

to treble down HF at live shows,

    (soprano voices, wind

    instruments, etc...)

    makes all sense now.

    thanks again...

  • Yeah i LOVE the sound of an old worn ride cymbal

  • hope that track is on your next EP... LOVE IT!!! it still amazes me that one man can make that much noise ;)

  • I can play some bad ass drums, but not while operating samplers, laptops, and all that other shit! I hang my drum sticks in SHAME. Who would have thought KJ is from Seattle like me? I'm looking for you, KJ, I wanna see it live! You kill it, bro!!
